I too think button release was better. One reason I got swayed to X670E Hero rather than X870E Hero.

Same! I just made the switch from intel to AMD (9800x3d) and got the x670e hero over the x870e hero.

They also dumped the "water cooling zone" on X870E Hero, I also didn't like that aspect. The X670E Hero has "water cooling zone", like earlier AM4 Heros.
