I recently purchased a Asus Crosshairs x870e Hero BTF motherboard and AMD 9800x3d for a new system. I have added 2 corsair vengeance 32GB sticks. I have also added a gigabyte RTX 5080 GPU and a thermaltake AIO. The lights in the new system come on, along with the fans, and the motherboard seems to power on, but will not post. I have pulled the GPU and memory with no change. I've reseated the CPU with no change, I've checked the pins and nothing seems out of sort, but no change. I've tried clearing CMOS, and no change.
Not sure what to do next.

try to wait 5 min, normally the first boot needs some time for syncroniced everything. if its not working try to download the new bios on your USB and use the flashback bottom for update the bios

no luck. blank screen. I've taken everything out of it except the CPU and it comes on, but doesn't seem to post. I was getting an EC qcode, now I'm getting a C5 qcode. I took the chip out of my wifes desktoop and swapped the 9800x3d for a 7800x3d, but it does the same thing.

c5 if you google it has to do with memory initialization error. you need to try each ram stick one at a time to see if there is a bad ram stick. also make sure your Ram is in slots 2 and 4.

Yes, I've tried that as well. I've even taken the ram completely out and tried booting, then inserting them back one at a time, in all the slots.

Can you test with your wife's RAM?

I can. She's running 16GB Gkill sticks. I'll pull one and try it.
