X670E-Plus - RAM Debug LED - after working fine for a few months.

First built system in Dec 2024
X670E-Plus Wifi
AMD Ryzen 9 9950x
MSI Geforce RTX 4060 ti ventus 2x black
DDR 5 Kingston Fury Beast (1x16)- KF556x40bb-16
Mag A850GL power supply.
Liquid Cooling

Could not get the system past Ram Debug LED, finally exchanged the motherboard for the same, re-installed everything and it worked fine.

Been running no problem for 6 months now, then crashed while kid was playing a game.

Won't boot passed the Ram Debug LED, monitor shows no signal (tried in both gpu and onboard hdmi).

- Re-seated Ram - no change.
- Cleared CMOS - no change
- Flashed Bios to newest version - no change
- Re-seated everything from CPU, GPU, Ram cleared CMOS again - no change

Maybe ram is faulty...all I could get is a 2x16 so ..
- Installed DDR 5 Kingston Fury Beast (2x16)- KF556x40bbk2-32 into A2 and B2 - no change
- Cleared Cmos - no change

Still cannot get signal to monitor or past Ram debug LED.

Anything else I can do here ?

I now have an open RMA, but kid is anxious to get PC back, figuring RMA might take forever so honestly thinking of just dumping asus and moving to a different brand all together

Any advise?

How long did you leave the system for RAM to train?  Sometimes the initial training takes a very long time after a clear cmos.

I'm experiencing the exact same issue. What has worked for me is completely disconnecting the power for at least 6–8 hours. When I plug the power cable back in, the PC initially gets stuck on the yellow LED, but after pressing the power button again, it eventually boots successfully.

In my case, I also tried updating the BIOS via FlashBack in case it was a BIOS-related problem. However, after the process completes, the screen shows "Updating BIOS" and it never finishes. If I disconnect the PC from power and wait around 6 hours, the message appears again on the next boot, but it gets stuck on the yellow LED. After restarting manually, the system boots normally.

For me, it definitely seems like a cold start issue.
Hope this helps you too.

Hi see post below.

Understanding Memory Training on AMD AM5 Motherboards (Q-CODE 15 & Yellow DRAM Q-LED)

If behaviour persists, consider remounting CPU and memory (appreciate you have already tried most steps).

Inspect CPU pin-pad and socket for any debris or damage, then remount, ensuring for consistent mounting pressure as per cooling vendors guidelines.

If behaviour persists further, contact service for your region.

Had a similar issue at one point, had moved the pc during the holidays and it wouldn't boot when I got home and plugged it in. CMOS reset didn't work etc.
The weird fix was that I had to remove one ram stick, then the pc would boot.
Then I could power down and insert it again, and it's been running fine ever since.
