Hi,
I couldn't find an existing topic on this subject, so I am creating my own.
I tried updating my X670E-I Gaming Wifi motherboard with the newly released firmware on the ASUS Website, but in both cases the update cannot be executed.
USB4 PCIE GEN4 CARD_4242_FW Update Tool_1022_ For_Linux:
After entering the EFI Shell with the Files on an USB drive and entering the commands from the Readme file I get the following error:
Asmedia ASM 2424 SPI ROM Update Utility - Version 1.0.0.2
Can't find any ASM4242 controller!!!
USB4 PCIE GEN4 CARD_PD 8857_FW update tool V1.01_110_ for_Linux:
With this update tool I only get "Fail!!!" after enterning the commands from the Readme.
I added a photo of the EFI Shell.

You're the next person who wants to install this firmware update, even though you apparently don't have this USB4 PCIE GEN4 CARD installed.
Google USB4 PCIE GEN4 CARD.
If this USB4 PCIE GEN4 CARD adapter isn't installed, a firmware update can't be performed because the hardware isn't there.
This adapter is plugged into a PCIe slot.
If you don't use something like that, a firmware update won't work.
I wonder why Asus seems to provide this firmware update for this adapter with every motherboard, instead of directly with the USB4 PCIE GEN4 CARD.
