X670E Hero PD connector

Hi all .

I have just built a new system , Asus X670e Hero , 7950X3D and an Asus Tuf 4090 ( 4 nvme drives and 3 sata drives ) and was wondering if you need to connect the PD 12v power connector next to the ATX connector ?

Any help most appreciated

Hello,
As per the manual, the PD12v is supplementary and powers additional power to the PCIE 16x slots and USB 3.2 headers.
GPU operation should not be impacted by not using the header.

Install the PD12v connector if wanting to utilise "Quick Charge" capability (60w). Without it, the USB 3.2 header will provide 27w.
