Hello everyone,
So i updated my RAM and got to 128 Go, doing that i saw that i wasn't using the expo option. When i tried to enabled it, the computer wouldn't start.
So I updated the BIOS, i'm now with the 24.3 version.
At first the computer wouldn't start at all and stay stuck with the orange DRAM light.
But when i do a clear CMOS it works but here is the tricky part, because if I restart the computer I'll have to do a clear CMOS again for the computer to start or i'll get the orange light again...
If any one has any idea ...
My config : RYZEN 97950 X, NVIDIA3090 if it helps
Cheers

I'm pretty sure when your enabling EXPO, the RAM profile being used maybe too much for memory controller of CPU to sustain.
128GB is going to be 4 DIMMs of dual rank RAM. Officially AMD state 3600MHz.
Check the AMD product page for your CPU and in Connectivity section is Max Memory Speed:-
2x1R (2 DIMMs of single rank) | DDR5-5200 |
2x2R (2 DIMMs of dual rank) | DDR5-5200 |
4x1R (4 DIMMs of single rank) | DDR5-3600 |
4x2R (4 DIMMs of dual rank) | DDR5-3600 |
What RAM kit are you using?

Thanks for your answer Gupsterg,
I first had a set of two 32 Go Corsair Vengeance at 5200 and later add two Corsair Vengeance at 5600.

No problem 🙂 . If I am understanding correctly, you are saying you are using 2x32GB Corsair Vengeance 5200MHz and 2x32GB Corsair Vengeance 5600MHz?

yes that's it

This is not ideal.
You are using 2 sets of RAM kit which differ, so EXPO for sure is not going to work.
It is very likely the differing RAM kits use differing RAM IC. Which would make it difficult to tune manually to even get RAM MHz to something you maybe happy with.
On heatspreader will be a label, it will have "ver XX.XX.XX". Check the 5200MHz kit and check the 5600MHz kit. I should be able to tell you from those labels if it is same RAM IC in use between the differing kits.
Even knowing the RAM IC used, will mean you will have to opt for whatever the slower kit can do. Again this will need manual tuning by you.
Even if you sell the RAM and get a 4x32GB kit. You will not be able to get RAM MHz very high. As the amount of RAM you are using is heavy load on memory controller.
