Hi all, I opened this new discussion because I noticed that many users with this card and perhaps also with others of the x670e series are having problems with the thunderbolt ports, slowdowns in acquiring information when running programs such as hwmonitor cpuz or simply when starting windows when background programs are loaded to control fan led etc.
The problem can only be solved by disabling the thunderbolt ports from the bios. "Bios>Advanced>AMD PBS> Thunderbolt / USB4 Support" It would be helpful to know if you are taking steps to fix via bios or drivers, or do we have to send our boards back to make a refund?

I'd like to know how the 7950X compares to the -X3D processor in my Flight Simulator configuration.

thanks for your testimony, can you tell me when the motherboard was made? it says on the box where there is also the serial number... it would be interesting to know to see if the boards with this problem were all made in the same period... In the meantime I'm in contact with asus support who are testing a configuration similar to mine with the same bios drivers etc. They will let me know soon if the problem occurs to them too.

The new beta bios fixed my instant crashes on high load when i did some quick testing Yday will try some gaming today and see if it crashes after 1-2 hours as it did last time. The new bios locked the SoC Voltage to not go over 1.3 but im around 1.236V (goes up to 1.242V on full ram load) with the DOCP asus tweaked profile anyways so. i also replaced my PSU since it was reaching 10yrs now and the warranty goes out next year (i never keep a PSU after its warranty period for the safety of the system).
I'll check the manufacture date when i get home.
Do you know if disabling Thunderbolt / USB4 Support will stop the monitor support via iGPU from the usb-c ports?

follow this page https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/hardware-build-advice/index-all-my-firmware-drivers-software-threads/m... I, like you, had such a problem after installing all the new drivers, everything falls into place

I'm on latest bios 1410, still need to disable thunderbolt ports to avoid slowdown.
I think they have much bigger issues to fix with X3D chips burning up, and voltage caps.

install this driver and the problem will disappear, too, I suffered for a long time, just install the realtek driver and everything will be fine
drivers are different and this causes problems

Hello maxrealiti, thanks for your interest... I just now tried to install all the new drivers by deleting the old ones from the system with the method written in the post... unfortunately the problem still occurs, and it's always sticky at startup and it always has micro lag while opening applications such as cpuz etc... Does it no longer give you any problems? not even at startup when it loads fan led control programs or simply information acquisition?

I also had my own problems as you describe, but after installing the drivers everything fell into place, but I had a fresh installation of windows a couple of weeks ago, because I was looking for reasons for a long time going through all the options, the chipset driver is also from there and the custom power plan is optimized for zen4, now everything is working fine, and yes, there was a lag at the start of windows and when launching programs there was a delay on the psi bus, now everything is fine, also try disabling the rez - bar at the moment, turning it off solved the problem, but then it appeared again, I again took up the search, even had to downvolt the card in terms of voltage and frequency, and it also became normal, but for a while now everything is overclocked as it should and works
