ill use this thread to collect some new test bioses for the boards, maybe also to explain some less understood options
to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
110000
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake
ocpak/octools
FAQ:
7950x not boosting pass 5.5G -> check that CStates is not disabled
Detailed Explanation on CState Boot Limiter
Test BIOSes:
new:
X3D OC Preset for those MB with asynch BCLK Support: (for simple slight perf boost for X3D)
DOCP/EXPO Tweaked: (for simple timings tightening)
strixe-e 1515
for crosshair and strix e-e:
explanation of segment2 Loadline:
customize a heterogenous loadline for a dual segment workload range.
example above shows loadline=L6 when current is in range of 0~40A, and Level4 when current is above 40A.
Adds for x3d
dynamic ccd priority switch with core flex, os / driver agnostic so win10 win11 ok
Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4
Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide
works on non x3d too but of course senseless on it. detailed explanation here.

Thanks a lot, it fixed the issue.

Hi there,
Today just after POSTing there was a message on screen stating the BIOS updated Hydranode and not turn off the computer. The same kind of message as when LED firmware is updated just after a BIOS update. Except the BIOS was installed almost a month ago so why doing the update only now ?
Is this a normal behaviour ?

Hmm I agree, seems strange.
Maybe another BIOS update was pushed through windows update? But that is usually an OEM-only thing ...

Memory instability, check EXPO stability with memory stress tools (Karhu Ram test, TM5, OCCT, etc.)

Strange. I already tested with Karhu, OCCT, and TM5 each for 24h with no error. Could it be an instability due to context restore ?
This behaviour only happened once till now.

unprompted BIOS updates when nothing has been instigated by the user usually a result of improper shutdown or system instability. Wouldn't worry unless it occurs again.

With 1905, the video signal from the internal graphic of an AMD 7900X3D with HDMI arrive lately (after window booted completely). No problem before (mean video signal allready with Republic of gamer logo).
Same USB problem (HDD more than 2To not recognized with rear USB 3.0 ports) and No usb4 port working at all.
Someone here use rear USB4 port with ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR X670E ?

USB4 breaks sleep function (Win11 crashes on resume) for me (only when I have two external devices connected) so I disabled it from BIOS. Tried 3 or 4 driver versions and I decided to let it go and forget about having USB4.
Now that you mention about the video signal. Could be worth mentioning that my dedicated graphics (7900 XTX) is also late in sending a signal and causes my Samsung monitor (Odyssey Neo G9) to go into sleep mode on every reboot or every time I exit BIOS. This is since day one on all 15 BIOS versions I had ... got used to it.
Didn't have this issue on previous AM4 platform.

There is some issues with a Windows Update KB that causes crashes with windows 11 and certain external devices connected. Might be what you are experiencing.
