ill use this thread to collect some new test bioses for the boards, maybe also to explain some less understood options

to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
110000
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake

explanation of segment2 Loadline:

dualseg.jpg

customize a heterogenous loadline for a dual segment workload range.

example above shows loadline=L6 when current is in range of 0~40A, and Level4 when current is above 40A.

Adds for x3d

dynamic ccd priority switch with core flex, os / driver agnostic so win10 win11 ok

97403

97404

Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4

Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide

works on non x3d too but of course senseless on it. detailed explanation here.

@ericihle , a temporary fix could be too disable the iGPU in bios?

I have tried this - but no luck. The iGPU automatically turns on when the system warm reboots from BIOS because the 4090 is not detected. I even tried saving/exiting the bios, immediately powering it down after BIOS exit but before reboot, making sure that the setting saved, powered back down, booted into windows, warm reboot, bam... Not a single thing I can do will get this system to warm reboot withing failing to discover my 4090. I even tried manually setting the PCIe version into 4.0 to see if that made a difference - nope.

Only way for me to reboot my computer is to do it cold. I may have to look up the other posts I found while researching this and link them in an updated post. I just feel some comfort in knowing that it isn't just me.

Edit: I have also verified the firmware/bios on my 4090 are up to date.

There is an option you can change to force bios or keep current in one last page.

I remember having this issue that gpu not always detected on 670e-extreme.
By default im setting this to keep current and no issues anymore. Default is force bios

Using a Strix 4090

If you are referring to choosing PCIe or iGPU as primary in the BIOS, I have done that. If you are saying there is another option, can you clarify so I can see if that is something I have already tried? Thanks!

Well you can find it in the following path

Boot -> Boot configuration -> Option Rom messages
Set that one to keep current

Solved my missing 4090 on boot.

Just tried that - did not work. Same behavior as before. Went and put it back on its original setting. Thanks though!

Testing on X670E Gene w:
7950X w/ -15 all core undervolt + PBO + extra 150 Mhz on PBO
8000 MHz RAM (XMP)
Optimized phases in bios
Results:
It seems to work pretty well, score I see is slightly better than on Agesa 1.0.8.0, but it should be noted I have changed one setting that can affect the boost: load line calibration (I set this one to the OC one now, I think it was 4 or 5, the one recommended for OC in bios).

So I see now I boost to 5906 MHz on CPU instead of 5753 MHz, with the +150Mhz on PBO.
Did not force any fans to run at high RPMs, I have the PC built for "silence".

So I have 360MM AIO up top with noctuas and then noctuas and nzxt fans.
Base RPM for everything is 600 (inaudible), then at 50C I have 50% DC (manual curve), at 60C I have 60% DC.
At 75C I go to 100% on AIO, while case fans go to 80% at 75C and to 100% at 80C.

GPU runs auto.

I did not have any issues yet, I see some people have NVME issues.
My main drive is Samsung 990 PRO NVME and the other drive is an Intel 660P or something (NVME).

It does seem to boot quicker.

here is comparison that shows the beta agesa 1.1.0.0 is slightly quicker than 1.0.8.0: https://www.3dmark.com/compare/cpu/1551410/cpu/1537895#
BUT: I did change loadline calibration, so that might be the reason for improvement.

Hi, could you please explain in the bios menu how I can set this:

"7950X w/ -15 all core undervolt + PBO + extra 150 Mhz on PBO"

Please I cannot find the right options in the bios menu...

Thanks in advance.

The new BIOS is a buggy mess. Likely because I can't disable IOMMU, it's locked. Me and others have problems with it enabled, but not everyone does.
