ill use this thread to collect some new test bioses for the boards, maybe also to explain some less understood options

to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
110000
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake

explanation of segment2 Loadline:

dualseg.jpg

customize a heterogenous loadline for a dual segment workload range.

example above shows loadline=L6 when current is in range of 0~40A, and Level4 when current is above 40A.

Adds for x3d

dynamic ccd priority switch with core flex, os / driver agnostic so win10 win11 ok

97403

97404

Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4

Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide

works on non x3d too but of course senseless on it. detailed explanation here.

A bunch of us had exactly the same problem on our 6xx series boards. My B650E-E had this problem with two GPUs, one AMD and one NV. PCIe would just get stuck at some lower value (v1.1 or v2.0) and the PC would stutter a lot, even tho right now my PCIe link is on v1.1 (power save mode) and there is no stuttering. Sometimes, it would be fixed after a reboot, but not always.

It was fixed with a BIOS update without being disclosed in release notes, I've had no problems since.

Yeah, I did some more testing and I’m not sure what the trigger is, but it seems sometimes it gets “stuck” on PCI express 2.0 (5 GT/s). I tried loading up the new Indiana Jones game and it won’t go above 5 GT/s.

If I reboot it or put it to sleep and wake it up again, the link speed becomes dynamic and if I start up the game and check it, the speed is at 16 GT/s. So it’s some bug that I’m not sure what the trigger is.

Yes, this is EXACTLY the same thing that was happening to me. Right now, GPU-Z shows my PCIe link as 16x v1.1 and if I start the render test, it jumps to 16x v4.0 as it should.

When I had this bug, PCIe link would get stuck at 16x v1.1 or 2.0 or 3.0 and everything would stutter, including the desktop. Amazing that this problem was fixed on my B650E board one year ago, but it reappeared in new 8xx series boards that even use the exact same chipset.

I also noticed PCI express droping lanes/ ssd speeds on M1_1 cpu connected m2 .

Pci 4.0 x4 kingston kc3000 started to drop to  pci4 two lanes instead  of four resulting in reaching only half of the speeds.   Not happening on m2_2 port. Reseating , stock bios settings, clearing cmos isnt helping.

Rog B650 gaming wifi motherboard and it is happening on all of latest bioses, not sure from which it started to happen.

Is there any ASPM issue  known?

With this latest BIOS 0706 My ROG STRIX X870-F GAMING WIFI seams to drop main GPU slot on boot, every time driver gets reinstalled (error 18) like i hot pluged GPU and it only happens if M.2 NWME is in slot 2 under that big cooler, if i put NWME in first M.2 slot  GPU works just fine without problems ..

Same problem here, from boot to boot the gpu pcie x16 lane maxes out either @ 2-3 or 4. (stand by is 1.1, max is under load)

if it maxes out @ gen3 or gen4, pc looks like working normally.

but if it maxes out @ gen2, the pc stutters like crazy and unusable.

mainboard is X870E Hero Crosshair with ryzen 9950x.

bioses i tried are 505 and 706.

what is happening Asus ...

I think 704 is best so far with 192gb setup. I can boot at 6000Mhz as well but not stable enough for daily. It also seems to be decent with x48 gb at 8000Mhz as well. Newer bios not stable at all with 4 sticks. Need more optimization for 4 sticks please!

I'm really a fan of Asus (I own a ASUS 540Hz TN panel and my ASUS 480Hz OLED and also an ASUS RTX 4090 OG OC and lot more stuff from ASUS)... I couldn't get my ASUS X670E-E to work. But is this case I fixed all my problems, ordering an MPG X870E Carbon Wifi. The switch took me maybe 45 minutes. Everything works fine so far. BIOS 1A1G# (AGESA 1.2.0.2b).
