ill use this thread to collect some new test bioses for the boards, maybe also to explain some less understood options

to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
110000
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake

explanation of segment2 Loadline:

dualseg.jpg

customize a heterogenous loadline for a dual segment workload range.

example above shows loadline=L6 when current is in range of 0~40A, and Level4 when current is above 40A.

Adds for x3d

dynamic ccd priority switch with core flex, os / driver agnostic so win10 win11 ok

97403

97404

Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4

Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide

works on non x3d too but of course senseless on it. detailed explanation here.

I'm not even bothering with EXPO anymore, the system reboots with essentially all defaults in BIOS, as long as I put some load on it (almost any non-trivial game), and then let it go to idle. It will happen without the first step, but it will take a bit longer.

For some reason, all versions except 2007 have a much greater chance of a reboot, so I keep coming back to it. The system reboots mostly when the screen is off, sometimes after only a few seconds/minutes, sometimes after a few hours (my PC used to be on 24/7), but it sometimes happens when I'm using it too.

The only thing that has somewhat helped prolong the time between reboots is the PMIC continuous current setting, although it doesn't solve the problem.

that's the best I can get with the new beta-BIOS. And if I say "the best" I really mean it.

The only alternatives are endless Q-Code 1C or 2F.

I'm using the combo x570-e-e with this 6000MHz-GSkill-RAM for over a year. I fine-tuned all timings and subtimings with my 7950x3d. I switched to a 9800x3d 2 weeks ago and updated to 2603 amd then 2604. Everything worked until I flashed 2604.

I went back to 2506 now and this is working too. So my RAM and timings are working for 2506, 2602 and 2603 but not for 2604. 2604 does not even boot with a simple EXPO 1 or 2.

I had something similar once too. But with Black Screen. On my Livedash LED of my Extreme Board there was also the message: "POST ERROR" After a restart everything is fine again.

AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D | ROG CROSSHAIR X670E EXTREME (3402) | ASUS ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 OC Edition | Corsair CMP64GX5M2B6000Z30 (6200 MT/s) | WD Black SN850X | PHANTEKS Glacier One 360 T30 Gen2 | LG OLED42C27LA | Phanteks NV7 | Seasonic PRIME TX-1600 ATX 3.1 Noctua Edition | Windows 11 Pro.

Unstable mem OC after multiple training attempts. I haven't noticed any negative change in stability moving from 0505 to 0706 here (UCLK=MEMCLK 6400/2133)

9800X3D / 6400 CAS 28 / ROG X870 Crosshair / TUF RTX 4090

That's happening with all Expo-variants, manual timings and voltages since 2604. I tried now for over 10h to get it work, but no chance.

Silent_Scone - can You please check PBO enhancement settings with 9800X3D ? I talked about bad performance after swap from 7950X3D and today I tested with typical PBO - just enabled - without temperature limits and my benchmarks scores are better. I think it isn't woking at all like before with older cpu.

PS in my case "core tuning configuration for gaming" - legacy the same scores as auto, set 1 - 2ns worse, set 2 - another +2ns worse.

It can depend on the memory configuration. In most cases, users see around a 5-8ns drop using Legacy Mode.
