ill use this thread to collect some new test bioses for the boards, maybe also to explain some less understood options

to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
110000
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake

explanation of segment2 Loadline:

dualseg.jpg

customize a heterogenous loadline for a dual segment workload range.

example above shows loadline=L6 when current is in range of 0~40A, and Level4 when current is above 40A.

Adds for x3d

dynamic ccd priority switch with core flex, os / driver agnostic so win10 win11 ok

97403

97404

Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4

Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide

works on non x3d too but of course senseless on it. detailed explanation here.

I know it isn't listed in QVL. At the time (03.2023) I bought them KNOWING they might not work. Before these I also tried 4x16GB from Kingston (which didn't work so I returned them).
Since these worked from day one, I would expect they should also work 9 months later, is that a fair assumption? The old "not listed in QVL" reply is a crap response since it was stable in versions 1401,1410,1412,1415,1515,1516,1602,1709,1801 and 1802.
Can't recall if it was on stock voltages in 1003,1101,1202 and 1302 but that's less important.

No, it's an utter disgrace to have 17 BIOS versions (and I'm 100% sure I missed some) in 9 months while performance decreases, stability goes sideways, M2's dissapear, USB devices have a lot of issues, LAN cards have a lot of issues, VGA cards with no signal and so on.
"Vendors started working on 256GB support" - why? When you can't even support 64GB in all forms

1 year with hundreds of hours spent by me and thousands of others trying to make a 5k system run properly while Asus doesn't even bother providing a changelog for us idiots spending half of our lives here forever testing.

Look I am just trying to help. But I am not aware of any 4x16gb kits from Gskill at all.
And no matter which platform you are on, you should not mix RAM kits.
Just buy a 2x32gb kit.

I know and I feel you, BIOS situation has been a total mess since the beginning. Also AMD's fault to some degree for sure.
I still have the issue not having boot screens after a reboot. Just getting them on cold boot.
Only solution is to enable CSM support.

I know, sorry but there's a lot a frustration inside many many users.

It's two kits, each of 2x16GB (F5-6000J3238F16G) and I'd rather stay on 1802 and avoid having two unused slots looking like crap.

If the older BIOS works without any issues, just leave it like that. No need to upgrade.
I know, having two empty slots doesn't look great. Corsair did some dummy sticks in the past.

I was actually quite suprised seing 4x16 kits at 6000 from Kingston popping up in the QVL...

RAM stability has plagued this platform since day 1

Hi, just a question: when you enable CSM support and you save this in the bios, the CSM remains activated once the PC restarts or you turn it off and on ?

In my case the option of enabling CSM doesn't remain saved in the bios memory...

74lobster

I keep it on and it stays on. I will check again and report back.

Your issue is very strange. Do you have anything connected to the iGPU?
I know when you enable CSM support, the iGPU gets disabled automatically and the option to run it on disapears.

Hi, did you checked if the the option of enabling CSM remains saved in the bios 1807 memory ?

74lobster

Sorry for not replying earlier. Yes I checked several times to be sure, CSM support remains enabled.

Hi, now I have removed my GPU Nvidia 4080 FE and when I try to enable the CSM support, the optinon is grayed...

Is it normal or not ?

Thanks in advance.

74lobster

I don't know if its normal, but I know when you enable CSM support, the iGPU gets disabled automatically.
Why I don't know exactly.

But in your case, you can't enable it because you have no dedicated GPU installed.
