ill use this thread to collect some new test bioses for the boards, maybe also to explain some less understood options
to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
110000
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake
ocpak/octools
FAQ:
7950x not boosting pass 5.5G -> check that CStates is not disabled
Detailed Explanation on CState Boot Limiter
Test BIOSes:
new:
X3D OC Preset for those MB with asynch BCLK Support: (for simple slight perf boost for X3D)
DOCP/EXPO Tweaked: (for simple timings tightening)
strixe-e 1515
for crosshair and strix e-e:
explanation of segment2 Loadline:
customize a heterogenous loadline for a dual segment workload range.
example above shows loadline=L6 when current is in range of 0~40A, and Level4 when current is above 40A.
Adds for x3d
dynamic ccd priority switch with core flex, os / driver agnostic so win10 win11 ok
Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4
Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide
works on non x3d too but of course senseless on it. detailed explanation here.

@niket67 @Olavxxx Yes, the bug has been around for months and has many buyers (i myself). Unfortunately, this bug has not been fixed to date.
And ASUS unfortunately it is like that, but in many other forums buyers are currently being recommended not to flash because there are still too many errors. People also ask why Bios 1807 is called the final, with so many bugs?

What kind of errors are people complaining about?

For example, the “Retry button” doesn’t work on the Extreme Board. All the buttons have no function more.

If it truly is an Asus thing, I really hope they sort it out.

UPDATE: Running on latest BIOS since Saturday. Everything seems stable so far.
Regarding my rare mouse hiccup problem. Did try to diagnose RAM, no errors came up. Also ran Windows health checks without errors. Went on Google/Reddit hunt to check if I can test anything else.
I found this reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/173s6kt/the_ftpm_stutters_are_not_fixed/&ved=2ahUKEwjznLON4ZiD...
Not sure if this is recommended or not, but I disabled secure boot and AMD fTPM. And so far, no mouse lags when launching apps. 😊

Have you disabled power saving on TB controller in windows?
12-18-2023 05:53 AM
Yes, I've already configured that setting a couple of months ago. Didn't have any effect on the issue I was experiencing.

Disable power save on Thunderbolt controller. Windows Device Manager > System Devices > Thunderbolt Controller 1137 > Power Management

almost a year and the fixing almost never fixes anything.
wish i could get my money back.
recently realized that expo 1 didn't turn on memory context restore on auto. funny that auto means disabled. turned it on and we're back to the multitask crashes. kay, expo tweaked it is. ugh... now if i put the PC to Sleep 2 times, my usb connections stop working. seen that one mentioned on here. also PC wakes up randomly, which means, often i can't wake up the PC cause mouse is not connected. the lan connections breaks too. luckily, i have a seperate network card, buuuut, sometimes, the PCI connection also times out. sometimes, the PC also lags when multitasking, so i'm constantly affraid of the PC blackscreening. and we're talking 2 browsers and an Android Emulator.
i reset windoofs 3 times now, but those issues persist.
friend of mine bought a cheap asrock board, works without a hitch...
so the Choice is 4 minutes to boot the PC, or 2 minutes and Willy wonka memory context restors my rig. with gen4 m2.ssd drive...
eh, just a few more months and i will be able to get rid of my strix 670e-f. gonna sell it to someone that wants to fix a broken product, cause that is what this is.
ngl, i'm affraid to even the try this new bios, but already seeing posts talking about worse memory situation, has me hesitant.
more like republic of nightmares.

@Shamino you guys should add 4x16GB G.Skill DDR5-6000 CL32 (F5-6000J3238F16GX2-TZ5NR) to QVL as it's been working effortless on all BIOS versions since ... last year I think?! 7950X3D + X670E-E here with MCR ON. Weird that ASUS validated Kingston and Corsair 4x16GB but nothing from G.Skill.
