ill use this thread to collect some new test bioses for the boards, maybe also to explain some less understood options
to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
110000
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake
ocpak/octools
FAQ:
7950x not boosting pass 5.5G -> check that CStates is not disabled
Detailed Explanation on CState Boot Limiter
Test BIOSes:
new:
X3D OC Preset for those MB with asynch BCLK Support: (for simple slight perf boost for X3D)
DOCP/EXPO Tweaked: (for simple timings tightening)
strixe-e 1515
for crosshair and strix e-e:
explanation of segment2 Loadline:
customize a heterogenous loadline for a dual segment workload range.
example above shows loadline=L6 when current is in range of 0~40A, and Level4 when current is above 40A.
Adds for x3d
dynamic ccd priority switch with core flex, os / driver agnostic so win10 win11 ok
Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4
Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide
works on non x3d too but of course senseless on it. detailed explanation here.

UPDATE: Managed to get back onto production version (1710 in my case) via BIOS Flashback. But yeah, there seems to be a problem with rolling-back from the current BETA BIOS that might need to be looked at.

From what I know, you cannot downgrade your BIOS from EZ Flash, even if it is beta. It might be for safety reasons not to downgrade by accident, idk. Using Flashback is the only option for that.

I haven't tried the beta BIOS yet, I just hope that someone at AMD is looking into PCIe bus version or width randomly decreasing, especially when waking up from sleep/restarting. On my B650E-E, it sometimes gets stuck at 16x 1.1, 16x 2.0 or 16x 3.0 instead of 16x 4.0.

@Zheega is it just you on Intel 7xx GPU? I didnt notice any issues with RTX 4090, X670E-Gene.
Been running two latest bios, they boot quick and have had no issues.

The newest BIOS fixed all kinds of trouble I had with 1709. And the memory overclock on it is very good. 🙂

What's with the prime series always being like 2 updates behind all the other, it seems to always be the last to get any updates.

@Olavxxx No, I have an 6800XT. It worked completely fine on my previous i7-12700. It also works great with my new 7800X3D when it runs on PCIe 16x 4.0, but sometimes it will just run on 16x 1.1, mostly after restarts or when waking up from sleep. I've seen some similar complaints on MSI forums, so it doesn't seem to be something specific to Asus.
