X670 / X870 resource thread

ill use this thread to collect some new test bioses for the boards, maybe also to explain some less understood options

to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
110000
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake

explanation of segment2 Loadline:

dualseg.jpg

customize a heterogenous loadline for a dual segment workload range.

example above shows loadline=L6 when current is in range of 0~40A, and Level4 when current is above 40A.

Adds for x3d

dynamic ccd priority switch with core flex, os / driver agnostic so win10 win11 ok

97403

97404

Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4

Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide

works on non x3d too but of course senseless on it. detailed explanation here.

For me 1806 ends up in code 99 HDD DETECT if I change any option in internal devices (like HDD controller, USB, lightning and so on.) I can activate Expo and MCR and I'm able to boot, but not the other options I mentioned above. Now going back to my USB problems in 1709...

Hello, I have a problem. (
7500F
Strix X670E-A
3070ti
F5-6000J3636F16GX2-RS5k
Nvme samsung 970 evo plus 1TB
HDD Ultrastar 8tb
All equipment is new, at 1709 With any changes, PBO becomes unstable.
on 1802 and 1806
everything is fine, it passes absolutely all prime core cycler tests, benchmarks, LinX, Test Mem and so on.
But in idle time about once a day, just reboot Karnel event
PSU Tested, changed 2 pcs just in case.
A reboot usually occurs during a long period of inactivity, and more often when there is an exchange to the HDD, for example when a torrent is running. Before restarts, the system freezes for about 10 seconds, USB and Ethernet are disconnected and the PC reboots.
I don't know what the problem is(((

Also, on all bios versions the fan settings are ignored.

On version 1709, instability in RAM

I have an x670E-F.

I see that there is some 4x16 6000 supported configurations in the QVL list. Those modules are using SK Hynix chips.

I currently have 4x16 from Corsair that is using SK Hynix chips, but EXPO does not work. I would like to ask if it's possible to add support for that memory for EXPO? Currently I can only run the configuration with EXPO completely disabled. The memory part number is CMH32GX5M2B6000Z30.

EDIT: Just as I post this, I see those are **XMP** supported, not EXPO. I apologize for this post, but, instead I will ask: would there be any possibility of me running my memory at anything higher than 3600? With the 1516 bios that the motherboard came with out of box, it worked fine with EXPO. But any versions after that failed.

I think you had to buy these memory model:

CMH32GX5M2B6000Z30 K

With K at the end.

4 Modules is no guarantee it will work at high speed like 6000
Most don't work. Depends on quality IMC of CPU.|

The CPU is a 7950x3d

Almost a year with 16x4 @6000.

Works fine. Machine goes sleep and wake-up. Tm5 (anta777@extreme), Prime95 small FFTs - everything is fine.

1806 is working great for me so far. No complaints.  ProArt x670-Creator, 7950x, 16GB x 4 DIMMS DDR5_6000

Yes same for me on the Gene, its working great, no issues at all, nvme and USB problems have gone.

When flashing guys, load optimized defaults, reboot to bios then flash, after the flash, load optimized defaults again and reboot back to the bios, finally, manually set up, do not re-load save profiles or CMO files.

Can you guys restart your machine a few times and check the GPU Link Width on each boot to see if it stays x16?

It seems from cold start it boots up ok, but if you restart, that's when the problem can be noticed as it will randomly change to x1, x2, x4, x8 or x16 between restarts.
