ill use this thread to collect some new test bioses for the boards, maybe also to explain some less understood options
to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
110000
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake
ocpak/octools
FAQ:
7950x not boosting pass 5.5G -> check that CStates is not disabled
Detailed Explanation on CState Boot Limiter
Test BIOSes:
new:
X3D OC Preset for those MB with asynch BCLK Support: (for simple slight perf boost for X3D)
DOCP/EXPO Tweaked: (for simple timings tightening)
strixe-e 1515
for crosshair and strix e-e:
explanation of segment2 Loadline:
customize a heterogenous loadline for a dual segment workload range.
example above shows loadline=L6 when current is in range of 0~40A, and Level4 when current is above 40A.
Adds for x3d
dynamic ccd priority switch with core flex, os / driver agnostic so win10 win11 ok
Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4
Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide
works on non x3d too but of course senseless on it. detailed explanation here.

You'd really need to elaborate on that. 48GB DIMMs are supported, so what are you looking for clarification on?

just to clarify I have tested 2x48G Corsair modules from QVL - those worked just fine at 5200MT/s on 1415 and 1510.

With MCR and PowerDown enabled. I don’t do any CO aside from stock PBO enhancement with thermal ceiling of 90 degrees - not that I ever see things cooking that high. 38’C in idle on EK Nucleus CR360 Lux is good enough.

it happend again.
pc suddenly restarts during normal use. boots into uefi and has lost the pcie5 m.2 which happends to be my win-ssd.
i then have to turn of the pc and restart to get the m.2 recognised again.
what could be the problem here?
to me it looks like the mb looses the pcie5 m.2 -slot somehow during normal use.
i also had few boot ups where the beeper says "no gpu found". reboot and all is fine again.
x670e-f with 1410.

Did you OC or set up clocks too high, CO?
I lost Windows once due to too aggressive OC and constant drive repairs until OS game up.

only light CO. -5
but oc-reboot looks completely different. it never looses the m.2 but just reboots
there is also no freezing or whatsoever. it looks the same link a sudden powerloss

-5 on all cores or you did per core optimization with different values?
06-23-2023 12:30 PM
all core
i had no time to do per core so i tested until-7 which was stable and then went to -5 to have some safety.

Either your memory doesn’t like OC or one of your cores don’t like CO.

why should the pc loose the ssd because of the ram?
problem is, it happens so rarely, i cant figure out what it causes.
all the memtests and cpu tests showed no problems...
