ill use this thread to collect some new test bioses for the boards, maybe also to explain some less understood options

to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
110000
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake

Test BIOSes:

new:
X3D OC Preset for those MB with asynch BCLK Support: (for simple slight perf boost for X3D)

DOCP/EXPO Tweaked: (for simple timings tightening)

for crosshair and strix e-e:

explanation of segment2 Loadline:

dualseg.jpg

customize a heterogenous loadline for a dual segment workload range.

example above shows loadline=L6 when current is in range of 0~40A, and Level4 when current is above 40A.

Adds for x3d

dynamic ccd priority switch with core flex, os / driver agnostic so win10 win11 ok

97403

97404

Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4

Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide

works on non x3d too but of course senseless on it. detailed explanation here.

Hi everyone, i have problems with Strix X670E-F Wifi with R9 7950X (without OC), both with the bios 0705 and with 0805, when my system is at iddle, Windows freeze and after a 2 minutes restarts. This only happen with the system is on low load (for example browsing or watching a video) , when it is under load as it is playing, the system never freeze and restart.

And i cant run stable DOCP1 and 2 with my kit G.skill F5-6000J4040F16GX2-TZ5RK, only on auto run stable.

Hey there, I got a Crossshair X670E HHero with a R9 7900X. Tried to run at least EXPO on one of my DDR5 Kits. No success Board will not run with Expo Timings. Kit 1 are the Fury Beast KFC560C36BBEAK2-32 and the other Kit is the G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR. Of course I don't want to run them together, first I bought thhe Kingston and now the G.Skill. Realy frustated now. ...

Hopefully this helps. I followed it and I am running stable at 6200M/Ts for my G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR memory.

Just tested 0805 on X670E Hero. The same long booting time compared to e.g. x570. Do you plan to fix this? Or maybe AGESA need to be updated to address this issue with evaluating RAM each time? I read that other vendors have the same issue.

My setup:
MB: Asus ROG X670 HERO
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X
GPU: Asus TUF OC 4090
RAM: 64GB (2x32GB) G.Skill F5-6000J3040G32GX2-TZ5RS

OR.......

You can read the 18 pages and figure out how to minimize the boot time?

It's all here 🙌

1. I read many topics about AM5 slow boot time
2. I read this one as well
3. I didn't find proper solution.
4. It seems that the MB each time tries to check/evaluate RAM. It's not only ASUS issue. Mayby AGESA need to be updated? I don't know. |
5. It's not cool to assume that someone didn't read the topic before.

Hey guys I booted up my new rig with 7700x in it today and strix e mobo. What are the main settings I should tweak in my bios. Also I have not been able to find any info about how to enable amd expo anywhere, how do I do this? Cheers

I know cpu userbench is scummy towards AMD but i have always benchmarked my cpu / system on there just to compare with like amd systems to see where I stand. I have done a few benchmarks tonight and the results are pretty bad. Now atm I am only running the igpu as my 4090 won't be here for maybe 3 weeks. Would not having a proper gpu installed affect the cpu, ram and hdd results much? As you can see from the image I am at the bottom end in all metrics. I have not played with any bios settings as I don't know where to start with zen 4. Cheers96224

Hey,
do you know the reason why MemTweakIt shows different info/fields for different CPU Generations/Platforms?
For example Channel Information is missing. In Aida for example it says also only Dual Channel for the 7900x, Is it really dual channel and intel quad?
Thanks for your work
