ill use this thread to collect some new test bioses for the boards, maybe also to explain some less understood options

to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
110000
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake

explanation of segment2 Loadline:

dualseg.jpg

customize a heterogenous loadline for a dual segment workload range.

example above shows loadline=L6 when current is in range of 0~40A, and Level4 when current is above 40A.

Adds for x3d

dynamic ccd priority switch with core flex, os / driver agnostic so win10 win11 ok

97403

97404

Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4

Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide

works on non x3d too but of course senseless on it. detailed explanation here.

I want to. I just hate having to redo all my CPU and DDR5 overclock settings. Lol.

Assuming the memory and CPU stability isn't conditional, you shouldn't have an issue using an old CMO. @SAFEDISK is right to mention this disclaimer as changes in RC code can break things, but I haven't noticed anything untoward moving across using saved CMOs.

sure, it's ok unless it's a cmo file from a very old bios

May I kindly ask you what the process is exactly to save current BIOS settings as a .CMO file please ?

Is it just pressing F2 to save as .CMO ? And Ctrl+F2 to save as text ?

I suspect it will be safe to use .CMO from 290x on the newer 2904 BIOS ?

F2 will allow you to save the CMO to a present USB drive, Ctrl + F2 will save the current settings as a txt file.

It should be fine, but if experiencing difficulty always start from fresh.

Thanks. I'm still on the official 1003 BIOS for X870E Hero. Man, I really wish I was able to buy the new X870E Apex right now. I just sold a camera for some cash to use towards watercooling upgrades, but Hero to Apex would be a nice upgrade too.

I'm trying to figure out what is the best way to go about adding a second D5 pump to my loop as Ive got two new ek quantum surface x360m radiators to add up top and on to my existing loop. I currently have dual EK QS x480m x 58mm radiators sitting up front. I was either going to get a standalone pump with a top with in and outs or get another reservoir/pump combo.  Seems like the standalone pump would fit in more easily than trying to find more room for a 2nd reservoir combo.

Case is a Corsair 1000D.

Thank you.

I've got a problem with the latest X870-I 1022 firmware.  I have to manually select Gen 4 for NVME and PCI-E.  I found both PCI-E and NVME lanes (when on Auto) were either acting as Gen 3 or Gen 2 speed wise.  Manually selecting Gen 4 fixed the issue, but I never had to do this in the past.

For reference I have a Samsung 990 Pro 4tb NVME ssd and RTX 4090 GPU

Please fix

I don't get the point in keeping updating the BIOS version if everything works flawlessly. I'm still on the old and glorious 1709 release and I get better results than most of you so why should I update and be forced to recompile all the DDR5 timings and the CU parameters (per core)?

Is there a valid reason? Cuz I don't see any.
