ill use this thread to collect some new test bioses for the boards, maybe also to explain some less understood options

to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
110000
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake

explanation of segment2 Loadline:

dualseg.jpg

customize a heterogenous loadline for a dual segment workload range.

example above shows loadline=L6 when current is in range of 0~40A, and Level4 when current is above 40A.

Adds for x3d

dynamic ccd priority switch with core flex, os / driver agnostic so win10 win11 ok

97403

97404

Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4

Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide

works on non x3d too but of course senseless on it. detailed explanation here.

So how long before us B650 peasants get updated?

https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/amd-600-series/x670-x870-resource-thread/m-p/1071857/highlight/true#M8...

I already uploaded it a few days ago
You will also need to install the new chipset drivers

AMD chipset driver 7.01.08.129
*Improves performance for 2CCD Raphael and Granite Ridge CPUs

anyone tested bios 1003 on the x870e hero ? if yes, how it is compared to the other ones?

I have x870e Wifi (not hero) and 1003 is great for me - EXPO works if I want, no boot loops, no crashes in games/os so far.

im still on 1001 ... plan to give 1003 a shot on my X870e tonight and test through the weekend 🙂

From what some others have said, 1003 on the x870E Hero has the same great memory stability as beta 1001.  I'm about to install my 9800x3D/X870E Hero/Optimus Signature V3 water block this weekend and I'm planning to update the BIOS the motherboard shipped with to BIOS 1003 that is now on the official support page.

I've got (3) different USB thumb drives loaded with a Windows 11 installation, BIOS Update, and a thumb drive with all the required drivers and a folder with all my most used and favorite apps. Let's get it on! 🚧🔧👨‍🔧🖥

thanks

Is it recommended to update the AMD chipset drivers even without updating to the latest BIOS ? Or not ?

I am currently on 2604 on my X670e Gene and will wait a bit longer before trying the newer BIOS, but would like to update the chipset drivers if they are indeed improving performance

Hi,

You can update your AMD Chipset Drivers to these latest v7.01.08.129 before updating your BIOS to an AGESA 1.2.0.3 or more recent based BIOS (BIOS 10xx/27xx/32xx), but the driver for the AMD Application Compatibility Database device (brought by AGESA 1.2.0.3 or more recent) will not be installed in advance of phase and these AMD Chipset Drivers v7.01.08.129 must be reinstalled (without uninstalling them, just reinstall over the current one) after updating your BIOS to an AGESA 1.2.0.3 or more recent based BIOS (BIOS 10xx/27xx/32xx) in order to install the driver for your new AMD Application Compatibility Database device.
