ill use this thread to collect some new test bioses for the boards, maybe also to explain some less understood options
to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
110000
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake
ocpak/octools
FAQ:
7950x not boosting pass 5.5G -> check that CStates is not disabled
Detailed Explanation on CState Boot Limiter
Test BIOSes:
new:
X3D OC Preset for those MB with asynch BCLK Support: (for simple slight perf boost for X3D)
DOCP/EXPO Tweaked: (for simple timings tightening)
strixe-e 1515
for crosshair and strix e-e:
explanation of segment2 Loadline:
customize a heterogenous loadline for a dual segment workload range.
example above shows loadline=L6 when current is in range of 0~40A, and Level4 when current is above 40A.
Adds for x3d
dynamic ccd priority switch with core flex, os / driver agnostic so win10 win11 ok
Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4
Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide
works on non x3d too but of course senseless on it. detailed explanation here.

Perhaps to not only provide negative feedback...
I just upgraded my PRIME X670-P to BIOS 3067 (AGESA 1.2.0.2b) just released. No issues so far here.
Also I explicitly checked ZenTimings for PowerDown being enabled as I have enabled MCR and got PowerDown automatically enabled while switching MCR to Enabled in Advanced DRAM menu. ZenTimings also reporing PowerDown to be enabled. I did not tinker with any other locations like AMD CBS overclocking menu at all.
My system currently seems stable as it was on BIOS 3057.
Specs: Ryzen 9 7950X, 4x G.Skill F5-6000J3038F16G @ DDR5-6000, 1x Samsung 990 PRO in M2_1 and 1x Kingston SKC3000D2048G in M2_2, 2xSamsung 870 QVO SATA, RX 6900XT, 10Gbps NIC + DVB-S PCIe slots occupied. Some people reported issues which might be PSU related. So my one is a Seasonic Prime PX850. Watercool heatkiller direct die, MoRa420 radiator, fanless tower.
Also assure ZenTimings are up to date as there were updates for AGESA 1.2.0.2a.

The x670e-e board has a huge problem on bios 2604 (reboots despite lowering the frequency) with overclocking via BCLK Ryzen 7800x3D bios 2506 without problems.

hello guys help im stuck here for almost a week.
just build a pc, all the part brand new.
x670e-f, ryzen 7 9800x3d, gskill trident neo 32x2 6000mhz cl32, corsair rm850x atx 3.1, rtx 4070 ti super tuf non oc, fresh install windows 11 pro
my ram is on QVL list but i cant get stable post with expo profile,
sometimes can post, sometimes failed at memory training, sometimes stuck at red cpu light. i have to clear cmos whenever the pc stuck at post.
try every expo profile no luck, try to tweak the voltage vsoc 1.8-2.5, vddio 2v-4v, no luck,
also try to add extra juice to the ram, no luck, after couple of reboot will stuck at red cpu light. try to adjust timing manually, no luck same story.
i already reseat everything, also already check the cpu and the pin, looks okay, no physical damage or bent.
the funny thing is when i got succesful post, i do benchmark and stress test, occt, y cruncher, mem test, 3dbenchmark, everything works perfectly with no error or crash.
the issue i have is just cant get a stable post everytime i shutdown my pc
i dont know what to do anymore to get a stable expo 6000mhz on my pc, may i know other user are facing the issue that i have?
bios version latest agesa 1.2.0.2b , already try previous version, its much more worst, i cant even get any post after expo enable.

I replaced my ASUS Strix X670e-e with an MSI X870e Carbon because after upgrading from the 7950x3d to the 9800x3d and updating the BIOS accordingly, my RAM apparently only worked with default settings. Neither with EXPO nor with manual settings could I boot into Windows. I've always been a big fan of Asus, but lately I've been having a lot of problems. My ROG Swift Pro PG248QP also has a bug in the OSD.

Try to use Version 2506 Combo AM5 PI 1.2.0.2a, not the latest one.
Some issues with AMD AGESA on version 1.2.0.2b. I am also affected by this and have an X670e Hero.

memory training on 2604 is worse than on 2506.
@SAFEDISK are you guys working on it? cheers
12-19-2024 07:23 AM
Memory Training on 2604 its not working, plz fix this thanks.

No issues here on 2604 with Memory training. Even memory slightly overclocked

I also have memory training issues on 2604 it will seem fine for awhile the one cold boot it will retry a few times and say the bios booted in safe mode. If I re apply my settings it will boot but act like memory context restore is on or something and I'll get random reboots till I clear the bios completely and reset things then it's fine for a week or so. I rolled back on my x670e pro art
