ill use this thread to collect some new test bioses for the boards, maybe also to explain some less understood options

to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
110000
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake

explanation of segment2 Loadline:

dualseg.jpg

customize a heterogenous loadline for a dual segment workload range.

example above shows loadline=L6 when current is in range of 0~40A, and Level4 when current is above 40A.

Adds for x3d

dynamic ccd priority switch with core flex, os / driver agnostic so win10 win11 ok

97403

97404

Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4

Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide

works on non x3d too but of course senseless on it. detailed explanation here.

My system fails to POST, but only after selecting "Restart" in Windows, it hangs on a CPU error code. However, when I do a full shutdown and boot, it POSTs without any issue. The strange thing is, I don't recall having this problem a few months ago. Fast Boot is disabled in Windows but I don't think that's relevant in this case?

I’ve tried several different BIOS versions, going as far back as 2413 on my X670E-I, and I've also tried the latest BIOS (3040). I've run extensive stability tests, including Prime95, TestMem5 (1usmus & anta777 presets), y-cruncher, OCCT, and hours of gaming, all without any instability or crashes. I even swapped the CPU and reseated the DIMMs.

The memory kit I’m using is the Corsair CMP64GX5M2B6400C32W (2 x 32GB, Hynix A-die, Dual Rank) running at 6000 MT/s with very loose timings. The EXPO variant of the Dominator Titanium (same PCB) is on the QVL list.

I’ve seen a few reports about this issue being caused by mismatches between Memory Context Restore (MCR) and Power Down Enabled settings. In my case, both are disabled.

When it fails to POST after clicking on Restart in Windows, I'm forced to clear the CMOS... A simple shutdown, disconnecting the power and holding the power button and reconnecting the AC is not enough.

Any idea?

This is the same 0d issue many of us have been experiencing. The easiest workaround for me is to enable Memory Context Restore and Gear Down Mode, and then when the failed restart happens, press and hold your case power button to do a shut down, and press the case power button to turn it back on. For me this boots up every time.

@Shamino has posted beta BIOS downloads at overclock.net that look to fix this issue on the X670E and X870E Hero. For other boards we will need to wait.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X | Motherboard: Asus ROG Crosshair X670E Extreme BIOS 2302 | RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 64GB (2x32GB) DDR5-6000 CL30-40-40-96 1.40V F5-6000J3040G32GX2-TZ5NR | GPU: Nvidia Geforce RTX 4090 Founder's Edition | PSU: Be Quiet! Dark Power Pro 12 1200W | Storage: Western Digital Black SN850X PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD 4TB x3 | Sabrent Rocket NVME 4.0 2TB | WD Ultrastar 20TB HDD x4 | Case: Lian Li O11D XL | Audio Cards: Marian Clara E Dante PCIe Card | Pro Tools HD Native PCIe Card | Cooling: Custom Watercooling GPU + CPU Loop | Monitors: Asus ROG Swift PG27UQ x2, LG 65" E9 OLED

Thanks for the info 🙂

Unfortunately, I tried it again, and disconnecting the power cord and holding the power button for a few seconds does nothing on my system. Each time, I have to clear the CMOS.

From the overclock.net links you shared, it seems that the issue might be caused by some Windows software preventing the system from properly reinitializing itself? The weird thing though is that I'm unable to get the system to fail to restart when I'm using JEDEC 4800.

BIOS V3042 for B650 and some TUF/Prime is now available with AGESA 1.2.0.2. No changelog yet, but it doesn't update EC firmware to 0263 like with most other models, looks like that is only for X670/X870 models.

Running a TUF X670E with 2413 BIOS here - does 3042 include the fix for 0d/restart issue? Thanks 🙂
