ill use this thread to collect some new test bioses for the boards, maybe also to explain some less understood options
to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
110000
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake
ocpak/octools
FAQ:
7950x not boosting pass 5.5G -> check that CStates is not disabled
Detailed Explanation on CState Boot Limiter
Test BIOSes:
new:
X3D OC Preset for those MB with asynch BCLK Support: (for simple slight perf boost for X3D)
DOCP/EXPO Tweaked: (for simple timings tightening)
strixe-e 1515
for crosshair and strix e-e:
explanation of segment2 Loadline:
customize a heterogenous loadline for a dual segment workload range.
example above shows loadline=L6 when current is in range of 0~40A, and Level4 when current is above 40A.
Adds for x3d
dynamic ccd priority switch with core flex, os / driver agnostic so win10 win11 ok
Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4
Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide
works on non x3d too but of course senseless on it. detailed explanation here.

Hello,
thanks for your reply, an very sorry for my poor french/googleTranslate/english, i know it could hurt your ears.
2x32 and reboot troubles for you, it's not good sound for me, can a prayer help us.
I began bootlooping since 2 weeks now, and remove 2 stick to finish reboot process and bios conf. last time. Always on this reboot, wait for an update or something else to reboot, while i don't know if it can restart...
For memories, they are in QVL, but only 1,2 banks at 4800 in QVL. they have got an XMP/JEDEC profile at 3600, so 4 banks at 3600 why not. Tested them 1x1, 2x2, 4 switching banks, place,...always good. The speed adjust itself, VSOC_CPU varies in fonction of memories speed and size.
with 2 banks, auto VSOC_CPU at 1.045mv (from 1.032 to 1.087), 4 banks 0.932mV (varies from 0.932 to 0.987 under load), unable to fixe the value in manual or with offset mode, but higher seems better and stable for other components.
Just need stable memory, not speed. and without any error, difficult to diag. 2 CPU, 2x32 std + 4x32 ecc(1x, 2x, 4x swithing each other), 2 psu (750W and 1KW), no errors, just reboot...
Is your reboot trouble during the shutdown or during the boot sequence. Mine seems varie, sometimes during shutdown (usb pump leave lightened, fan speed didn't slower, generally bad sign, need psu off) or during post (2 boot for memories, need patience). And when bootloop, psu off, clear, and prayer until the next time...
Good luck for you.

Stuck in "Memory training" - 0D Q-Code with yellow Q-LED. Only when rebooting and not everytime but randomly. Shutdown works but "update and restart" or "update and shutdown" causes the same issue because Windows reboots the PC before updating.
Didn't notice any issues left on 2401. Sleep works perfectly (I use it all the time) - just that resuming from sleep takes a little longer - enough time for the display monitor to go back to sleep :)) Sending a black video signal would help prevent this - same issue when rebooting.
USBs work, NVMe drives work (but all my drives are Gen4). No BSODs and good performance.
I tried with MCR (both settings) ON or Auto, no difference. Power Down Enable makes no difference either.

Hello, thanks for your reply.
2x32 and reboot troubles, tha's not good sound for me. running bios 2401b on x670e Proart. Seems not to be a good version for me, and the 2308 for you.
What the result with just one stick ? boot or not ? fixed speed or auto ? Profile or not ?
Mine are in the QVL for bank 1,2. No indications for 4
So with just one or two sticks, 4800MHz like written in the qvl. No infos for 4 sticks (and no AEMP, XMP or other options visible in bios. with 2 sticks, options appears, i select ddr5-4800 at the first ai-tweak page, nothing else, all other memories param are std and untouched, i don't know which menu is fonctionnal or buggy, i try just the minimum in bios to diag step by step). With 4, they run @3600MHz, speed is not a worry, i just need space, and clean reboot. i don't planned to OC those ECC stick. From the begining i have to shut and restart, the reboot stucks. But since 2 or 3 week, the loop become more and more often. The last bios seems more restrictive. But with this loop comportement, and sometime clearcmos need, i don't know how i will be able rollback with the shadow of a loop.(I "sqeeze my buttocks" like we say in France).
Good luck.
I pray for the next reboot with 2sticks, loop or not, if not, bios rollback or not, which version...

FYI, I experienced 3 full freezes (and under Linux, which normally never ever happens), one with BIOS 2308, and a couple weeks later two (and at only 24 hours interval) with BIOS 2401, while using the exact same settings I have been using for many months and without a single issue...
I reverted yesterday to BIOS 2204 (since anyway, newer BIOSes bring nothing for a 7900X).

I want to update bios to 2401, but don't want to update to beta bios, in this bios latency lower for cpu cores, when 2401 will be relesed? CPU: 9950x

ASUS!!! Many customers purchased your x670e motherboards simply to utilize PCIE gen5. We are currently unable to do so, because PCIE speed randomly drops to gen1 speeds at boot, after restart, or when exiting sleep/hibernation. Please see the message below detailing the work of Crucial engineers who confirmed the issue:
I hope this email finds you well.
We would like to inform you that we escalated your issue to our dedicated team for further investigation and they informed that the problem lies with the motherboard rather than the Crucial SSD. This behavior has been observed across various motherboards from different manufacturers, and we were able to replicate it on our in-house systems as well.
The issue seems to occur when a Gen 5 SSD is connected to a Gen 5 slot on the motherboard, which is why you are not experiencing this problem with your Gen 4 drive. If you were to connect the Crucial T705 SSD to Gen 4 speeds at all times this issue would likely to be resolved.
Unfortunately, the only fix for this issue is a BIOS Update from the motherboard manufacturer. We recommend reaching out to your motherboard's manufacturer to inquire about a potential BIOS update that addresses this specific problem. We have seen BIOS update from multiple manufacturers that help resolve this kind of issue.
Please note that the Crucial T705 SSD will perform at whatever speed the motherboard allows, and this is not a fault of the drive itself. We understand the inconvenience and will continue to support you, but at this point, it is necessary to work with the motherboard manufacturer to find for a solution.
If you have further questions, we welcome your reply. You can also visit our Contact page for other ways to reach us.
Asus - what are you doing to address the issue?
