X670 / X870 resource thread

ill use this thread to collect some new test bioses for the boards, maybe also to explain some less understood options

to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
110000
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake

explanation of segment2 Loadline:

dualseg.jpg

customize a heterogenous loadline for a dual segment workload range.

example above shows loadline=L6 when current is in range of 0~40A, and Level4 when current is above 40A.

Adds for x3d

dynamic ccd priority switch with core flex, os / driver agnostic so win10 win11 ok

97403

97404

Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4

Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide

works on non x3d too but of course senseless on it. detailed explanation here.

Don't worry, my 7950x3D can also only go down to -7 CO. (don't know SP value now, but I guess pretty terrible ^^)

hey @Shamino any chance you could post up the LLC resistances for the Strix x670e-e board?

also, is running LLC8 actually safe? like, does it still give *some* droop?

I just find that with my 7800x3d, when I use the bclk2 up to 106-107 mhz, I need to use LLC7 or I get pretty significant clock stretching. This is with a CO of +2 or so. 107 I still get a touch of stretching, and I do have to use the boost limiter at -150 or so, otherwise I crash as soon as a benchmark is started. wondering if LLC8 would give me better results?

also, what voltages would I look at to see the droop? or does this board not have the required die sense voltage to actually display the true core voltage vs the vrm output voltage? any way to "spoof" this, or even ballpark it? I guess if i had the LLC resistances, in theory I could use the VRM output voltage (VOUT), along with the core current and the llc resistance to tell me the voltage droop?

Something new for proart x670e?

Hello

"don't use old cmo file"

It's my first tower computer, less than one year now.

- A good idea will be to add an explanation link, with each of your BIOS link update post, for a proper BIOS update.

That will be good for user like me, not familiar with a good BIOS update method, to use.

for example: don't use old cmo file (what does than mean)-> surely edit bios and save by default and reboot before update the BIOS ?

CMO files are BIOS profiles which can be stored within the profile menu (see FAQ).

ASUS offers a reasonable level of cross-compatibility between BIOS versions for CMO files, however,  occasionally there might be changes within a UEFI update (either from the CPU manufacturer or ASUS) which require a new CMO file to be created.

And here we go again....

New bios - more problems. Just like always. All the settings the same like always. Changing VDDIO voltage - computer not booting and few different led infos..... Next - integrated GPU - disabled - instant windows loading loop and reset. Then windows try to recover but still reset loop. For now - can't touch any voltages and igpu - the only way to normal windows boot.
