ill use this thread to collect some new test bioses for the boards, maybe also to explain some less understood options

to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
110000
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake

explanation of segment2 Loadline:

dualseg.jpg

customize a heterogenous loadline for a dual segment workload range.

example above shows loadline=L6 when current is in range of 0~40A, and Level4 when current is above 40A.

Adds for x3d

dynamic ccd priority switch with core flex, os / driver agnostic so win10 win11 ok

97403

97404

Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4

Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide

works on non x3d too but of course senseless on it. detailed explanation here.

Hello everyone

For me, 1002 with MCR and PowerDown Enable is 100% stable and the cold boot issue I had is fixed 😀, everything is running perfectly.

I never had any USB or network issue.

I am trying 1004 now, it is stable for gaming so far, but I noticed that Cinebench R23 can't complete any 10 min test on all core (was passing with 1002).

Maybe a small regression?

Is your cold boot problem similar to the one MrGold and I described above?

Yes, looks like exact same, it's gone for me on 1002 and 1003, but I didn't tried 1003.

FYI I have a STRIX-F with a 7700X and 2x32 GB at 5600

1002 and 1004, not tried 1003
(sorry for double-post but it looks like I can't edit)

… machine started right up without issue now after being off for almost 12 hours. Can PBO settings affect cold boot start up? I’m currently at All cores, negative, 30.

It happened to me that it boot without issue for 2 or 3 days in a row, and then the issue show up again.

I always had All cores negative 30 and now 50 (since 1002 and 1004) and no issues, my only issue was ODCP/EXPO back then.

So strange, I decided to keep the board instead of returning it so Im in for the long run. I will start a new thread if/as I have issues moving forward.

Unfortunately even version 1004 does not fix my problems with MCR. On version 0805 everything was fine, but since my upgrade to the 7950X3D and bios update to 0922 I cannot boot to windows with MCR enabled. It BSOD's during loading.

I tried 0922, 0925, 1002 and 1004. All show the same issue.

Without MCR everything runs perfectly stable with EXPO enabled. I really want to be able to use MCR. Without it the post times are painfully slow (40secs+).

As Shamino said, when you enable MCR, you may try with PowerDown enabled (it should be in the same section).

In my case, I must have it on to be stable.

Update:

Yeah, still having issues with the PC not initializing PCIe cards on cold-boot. At this point, it just seems completely random if it's going to recognize my PCIe USB expansion card or not. BIOS 1003
