to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake

Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4

Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide

Today I faced a weird issue on my ASUS PRIME X670-P mainboard and I would like to ask if anyone else run into similar problems eventually.

After shutting down the PC for the night I found it in "fast blinking" state on the QLED (power button fast blinking) when turning it on today. I intentionally left it for about 20 minutes but it did not recover. Usually it's fast-blinking for about 10 seconds and then booting after a single pc-speaker beep. Today it just continued blinking and no beep codes at all (X670-P does not have POST CODE display).

I then decided to turn it off again by long-pressing the power button. But after turning on again it did exactly the same thing.

Then I decided to turn it off and cut the power. After re-connecting the power I thought it's looking better again as power button went solid and then started fast-flashing (typical scenario when memory training happens again). But then it kept fast-blinking just as before (no boot).

After cutting the power again it started to behave very weirdly. Re-connecting the power would turn on the Aura LED lights but would not turn on the PC. Pressing the power button occasionally would lit up the power button for about 0.5s before turning off again.

The only way I managed to recover from the sate was a CMOS clear. After clearing CMOS it did normal training again and I could load my profile again without any issues. The machine is just working fine and stable as before. This weird "locked in non-boot-state" behaviour happened to me on multiple BIOS versions and seems to occur very randomly after the machine is switched off for some hours. So randomly I find my machine in broken state and need to recover it by CMOS resetting.

I think others in this thread and other threads have reported similar issues happening to them when turning off the machine for a while. Must be some but in the BIOS.

Hi everyone, I have an Asus ROG Crosshair X670E HERO motherboard and this board has 2 USB 3.2 Gen 1 connections inside.

I connected one of these connections to the front USB C port of my case, however, every time I turn on the PC and connect a USB C peripheral to the front port of the case, the BIOS gives me this error message: "USB Device over current detected".

Anyway the problem seems to be only in the BIOS when the PC boots, because when the PC is in Windows 11 the USB C port works flawlessly with any USB C device connected.

That said, it seems to be more of a bug in the motherboard's BIOS, I installed version 1602.

Has anyone else encountered the same problem as me?

Do you have PCIe power supplied to the port just beside the MB 24-pin power?

Does your BIOS have a setting to enable/disable Quick Charge? I couldn't find it, but I've noticed that when I boot into Windows I get the notification pop-up that Quick Charge is being used when I have something plugged into my front USB.

- I didn't connect the motherboard's additional power supply to the power supply (do you mean the connector below circled in red ?)


- I couldn't find any option in the BIOS to enable or disable fast charging either, it's not really mentioned.

I wanted to install the power cable on the 6-pin PCIe power connector, but I didn't find a quality one...

Do you know an online shop where I could buy a cable of this type, preferably sleeved ?

My power supply is a Seasonic PRIME PX-850


Seasonic Prime PX-850 should come with several of this cable.

It's the same one you use to connect a graphics card. Instead of plugging in all eight pins, you only use six of them (two pins on the cable should be loose, just leave those unplugged.

So,  8 pin male connected to the power supply and 6 pin male (2 pin disconnected) connected to the motherboard, practically this one:

As Jtdij says, that unit comes with 6 PCIE 6 to 8 pin cables. You should have enough.
