ill use this thread to collect some new test bioses for the boards, maybe also to explain some less understood options
to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
110000
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake
ocpak/octools
FAQ:
7950x not boosting pass 5.5G -> check that CStates is not disabled
Detailed Explanation on CState Boot Limiter
Test BIOSes:
new:
X3D OC Preset for those MB with asynch BCLK Support: (for simple slight perf boost for X3D)
DOCP/EXPO Tweaked: (for simple timings tightening)
strixe-e 1515
for crosshair and strix e-e:
explanation of segment2 Loadline:
customize a heterogenous loadline for a dual segment workload range.
example above shows loadline=L6 when current is in range of 0~40A, and Level4 when current is above 40A.
Adds for x3d
dynamic ccd priority switch with core flex, os / driver agnostic so win10 win11 ok
Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4
Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide
works on non x3d too but of course senseless on it. detailed explanation here.

It was probably picked up by spam management automatically, nobody deletes things. Just repost as you did.
So am I right in saying you're combining kits? Are you simply showing screenshots where users have successfully tuned combined kits on other vendor boards and relating that to your own experience? Did you see my screenshot of 5200MT working @ 192GB on the Strix?
Users are free to buy multiple kits if they want, but it's not supported. By either the memory vendor or board vendor. Memory kits are binned in the density in which they are sold. This means, once combined, the designated timings, voltage and frequency are no longer valid. It is most often the case that the modules no longer have the necessary voltage guardband to work without user intervention.

Yes, I saw that 192 GB works for you and I willingly believe you, you may have access to selected samples, but the global situation is deplorable.
And my main complaint is something else - when people go to the site to read those characteristics of the board and see 100% support for max 128 GB of memory, and then a footnote sends him to watch QVL, and there are no guaranteed configurations in 128 GB - this is called cheating buyers. If ASUS indicated in the specifications that it supports up to 64 GB (or later up to 96 GB) - it would be fair, since there are enough such configurations in QVL, and based on this, I would decide whether to buy their product or not or look for something else . And so, in fact, it turns out that people were deceived, just like I was deceived - asus indicates support for 128 GB on the main page sends you to QVL where they didn’t even test 128 GB ... It’s been more than a year already, but they didn’t remove the lies in the technical characteristics of their products and if you didn’t make a bios on which 128 GB of memory would be guaranteed to work, that’s the whole truth.

I'm not sure what it is you're asking.
1. I'm assuming the modules work at operating defaults?
2. What kit do you actually have, as it seems from your previous post you've bought individual modules. Have you considered purchasing a kit certified by AMD's EXPO for the-actual platform?
08-17-2023 12:24 AM
It's all unimportant, my modules are fully certified by the expo
I am writing above about another global deception by ASUS of potential buyers

It is important, gravely so. Am I right in understanding you purchased 4 individual modules?
Are you able to answer whether they run at Optimised Defaults?

2 modules work in any of their combinations on any of their expo profiles
Yes 4 individual modules

Please, stay factual: when running kits which are binned for 6000Mhz+ and tight latencies at 4800Mhz and JEDEC latencies you are nowhere near the limit of these memory modules and you are free to mix kits (at least of the same type) in whatever way you want. I for instance can even apply the factory voltages at 4800Mhz but no voltage helps to stabilize 5200Mhz (on my HERO board). The problem with 4x32GB and AM5 is hidden somewhere else and it has shown (at least for other vendors) that increasing AGESA versions and tweaked bus configurations can push the achievable platform limit towards 6000MHz.

One is overclocking, the other is not. If the distinction is confusing to you please do not interject so I can understand his predicament.
Combining kits is not supported for reasons that are beyond the scope of most users. You are free to look up most memory vendor support pages to read this for yourself. Vendors do not ensure voltage guardband for combining kits.

If you somehow believe this is not factual, I implore you to find documentation that suggests otherwise.

I already believed the false information on the official ASUS website about 128 GB support 😉 Enough 😉
I'm now talking about the specs listing full 128GB support, but even without overclocking there aren't any 128GB kits in QVL
Going back specifically to my case, yes, I bought 4 separate modules, but they work fine in any of their combinations at the expo frequency, but only in 2 slots

Sadly, regarding the 4x32GB configuration, everything beyond 3600MHz is considered as overclocking and to my knowledge no single vendor provides EXPO profiles for it so far. Nevertheless, it has been shown by many people that at least 5600-5800MHz are technically possible. But no one of them is using ASUS boards…
