ill use this thread to collect some new test bioses for the boards, maybe also to explain some less understood options

to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
110000
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake

new:

DOCP/EXPO Tweaked: (for simple timings tightening)

explanation of segment2 Loadline:

dualseg.jpg

customize a heterogenous loadline for a dual segment workload range.

example above shows loadline=L6 when current is in range of 0~40A, and Level4 when current is above 40A.

Adds for x3d

dynamic ccd priority switch with core flex, os / driver agnostic so win10 win11 ok

97403

97404

Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4

Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide

works on non x3d too but of course senseless on it. detailed explanation here.

Okay, thanks, that is probably similar to mine then. I have noticed with this beta that the time it takes steam to open has lengthened again to similar time to prior the 1416 update.

Use Search (F9) function.

Interesting idea, thanks) I’m from time when bios was blue and sometimes forgot that here is uefi.

so, after testing 1516 for a while now, EXPO 1 works for me. no i didn't overclock and all that jazz cause my PC is still placed very inconveniantly for powering it down, if it gets stuck in a black screen again during memtest.
the system still takes up to 3 minutes to boot, btw. did atleast 10 reboots since then.
one day, when all this crap blew over, i'll give it a try. or maybe till then we'll see the next CPUs from AMD and i'll simply upgrade to the next chip ineration and buy a board from someone that actually cares for the customers they're fleecing. there's no controller on the 7000x3D CPUs, which makes it inheritly a flawed product. surely going to find someone that is going to buy the CPU, ram, and board.

the internet connection is still lost after 2 days except when i watch youtube videos, so i guess this is a bad windows install issue. i also found one other soul that has the same issue on a windows board.
just imagining that the guy who made windows is now buying up farmland everywhere has me fearing for our food supply XD

but, why i'm writing yet one more time, i seen that they simply removed the monacher of beta BIOS below the 1516 download.
what kind of idea is that? it was a beta until someone tested it, and now they selling it as the new full BIOS?
do i need to upgrade to that one? is there still some beta description in mine, but not in this one? is the page just bugging out on me?
that's all sorts of fishy, and makes me even mader at myself that i didn't do some serious prevetting of my friends recomendation.
now he bought one of the cheaper asrock boards for his GF.

boots in 30 seconds. could undervolt and overclock it to max on day one. no memtest crashes. no issues at all.

ASUS needs to be ashamed of this fumble... i payed around 600 bucks to be a beta tester...

It’s not ASUS issue, it’s new platform from amd am5, they change architecture from scratch. And here ASUS is one company that give you guarantee to ocsrclocked memory with expo or xmp.

Hello. For 5 months now I'm sick and tired of AMD - ASUS problems.
I updated to BIOS 1516. I get blue screen error 3 times every day. (ntoskernel.exe) I get fps drop every minute while gaming. And this was not in BIOS 1415. Last week, every hour for hours, the mouse would sometimes freeze and move. It was not resolved without rebooting. Now this problem is gone without doing anything. I don't understand anything.
After every BIOS update I do the following:
Enable Expo II, then Enabled MCR, then Secure Boot, then Windows, what else needs to be done?
My computer components:
ASUS x670-E Hero
AMD Ryzen 7950X3D
G-Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB DDR5-6000 CL30-40-40-96 1.40V 64GB (2x32GB) AMD EXPO (F5-6000J3040G32GX2-TZ5NR)
Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 A-RGB
MSI Suprim X 4090
8 Chassis fans (5 connected to one connector)

Please help me. My $1000 laptop works better for me because of the constant errors.

Does the computer crash when bios is completely set to default with nothing added?

also try not to use Expo 2 - it’s not a good profile. Try Expo 1 or if your ram allows Expo tweaked.

What is the issue with the Expo 2 profile?

In order of lowest performance to highest:

  1. Expo II: This is the ram's stock default expo settings. (-> Lowest performance)

  2. Expo I: Default Expo main timings + timing optimizations detected by asus on power on (-> tighter timings, better performance than Expo II).

  3. Expo Tweaked: only available for ram that was tested by asus in the labs. Asus has tested this ram and knows the best timings that work with THIS exact ram on this motherboard (-> best performance).

So, if you have Expo tweaked you are lucky. It's the best.

Thanks for that info, will have to check it out. For some reason I thought expo 1 and 2 were the other way around.
