ill use this thread to collect some new test bioses for the boards, maybe also to explain some less understood options

to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
110000
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake

DOCP/EXPO Tweaked: (for simple timings tightening)

explanation of segment2 Loadline:

dualseg.jpg

customize a heterogenous loadline for a dual segment workload range.

example above shows loadline=L6 when current is in range of 0~40A, and Level4 when current is above 40A.

Adds for x3d

dynamic ccd priority switch with core flex, os / driver agnostic so win10 win11 ok

97403

97404

Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4

Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide

works on non x3d too but of course senseless on it. detailed explanation here.

what tool you use to generate that info ? and how to set/test curve optimzer ?

To generate the info you just need to save bios to usb key.

How to test and set curve optimizer is explained here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9BwNt6PD-00&t=1281s

In today's video, I overclock the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D Raphael CPU up to 5900 MHz with the ASUS ROG Crosshair X670E Extreme motherboard and EK custom loop water cooling. Before we get going, I'd like to thank the folks at AMD for enabling overclocking support on X3D CPUs. While this may age like ...

Why is 1401 beta changelog the same as 1303? Was it released by mistake? How can we make informed beta choices if there's no listed changes?

Probably improving on what they are trying to achieve with 1303 BIOS

i have a p41 platinum sk hynix so i ask you is supported the p41 platinum in the x670e extreme?

back to 1303 on my Asus X670e hero because 1401 beta introduces stability issues

I do not overclock my 7950x, I use my 4 Kingston beast memory dimms to 4800 Mhz (128 Gb) and with previous bioses my system is rock solid

Hello everyone and forgive me if I take advantage of the discussion but I'm very confused and hesitant. I was almost ready to complete the order for the crosshair x670e-e and the Ryzen 7 7800X3D but this bad story and still not knowing whose real responsibility is blocked me. I've always trusted Asus but... I've always been taught that trust is achieved with sincerity and truth but this time around I see too many heads hiding under the table. I think the problem is also hardware (design and components). Do you think we can even get to a hardware revision of motherboards with socket AM5?

Hey, buddy, I am in the same situation now. I even started this thread to hear what other people think. I was just a few days away from buying ROG Strix X670E-E and 7800X3D when the news literally exploded. Now I am just waiting to see how the things will develop.

Tbh, I have built all my PCs with ASUS motherboards for the last 20 years and can't say that I have been disappointed. The probability to encounter the same problem with a burnt CPU is very, very low (even in the GN video they admit to that) but obviously something with the ASUS mobos is not right here so I am also waiting to see whether ASUS will declare a second revision of their mobos (something that we have seen other vendors do in the past, albeit on rare occasions). On the other hand, from what I got from the GN video, ASUS have the necessary controllers already in place on their mobos and it is just a poor implementation in the BIOS not to utilize it ("laziness" as they called it in the GN video) so maybe the things could be fixed just after a few BIOS releases.
