ill use this thread to collect some new test bioses for the boards, maybe also to explain some less understood options

to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
110000
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake

for crosshair and strix e-e:

explanation of segment2 Loadline:

dualseg.jpg

customize a heterogenous loadline for a dual segment workload range.

example above shows loadline=L6 when current is in range of 0~40A, and Level4 when current is above 40A.

Adds for x3d

dynamic ccd priority switch with core flex, os / driver agnostic so win10 win11 ok

97403

97404

Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4

Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide

works on non x3d too but of course senseless on it. detailed explanation here.

BIos 1410 is very unstable when I use the same settings which has been stable for many bios versions, looks like it's necessary to find new settings with this bios(and moving forward). Oh, well ....

(CH X670E Extreme)

R9 7950X - ASUS X670E Crosshair Extreme (bios 0803) - 32GB HyperX Fury Beast @6200c32 - Corsair H150i Pro - ASUS RTX3080 TUF OC V2 - Phanteks P400A - Corsair RM850 - WD SN850

What was your settings pre-1410? Did you use higher VSOC?

I always used VSOC 1.3V so that is no difference, but I've always been running high voltage mode for VRAM which could possibly be buggy now with all voltages being lowered across the board ....

My processor is 7950x3D. Since Bios 1004, my processor temperature has been rising and falling up to 90 C°. Is this normal?

Yes, tends to be hot, but you can set a temp limit for throttling in bios like 85C and also control temps by lowering different voltages as much as possible without causing instability.

You can also limit TDP if you like, to control temps.

Needless to say, such a CPU has to have good cooling.

1410 applies ~ 0.6V additional VDD/Q when High Voltage Mode is enabled for Richtek PMIC (as in Teamgroup UD5-7800 or UD5-7200). seen on crosshair and strix..

Newer versions usually appearing pretty quickly here.

However I am quite reluctant to just download and install a BIOS from any other source than board manufacturer. Specifically MSI warned recently as due to a data breach authentication keys were stolen and unauthorized with BIOS with potentially unwanted extensions or malware might appear. You certainly don't want that. It's sufficient already having to disable Armoury Crate bloatware in stock BIOS.

So unless you feel very adventurous I would recommend to wait until this BIOS appearing on official download pages.

@Shamino when will we get a new BIOS with official support for high-density RAM modules. I am still running 1003…

Which bios for 48go modules on X670E-I ? Looking to pull the trigger for my little server build ?
