ill use this thread to collect some new test bioses for the boards, maybe also to explain some less understood options

to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
110000
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake

DOCP/EXPO Tweaked: (for simple timings tightening)

for crosshair and strix e-e:

explanation of segment2 Loadline:

dualseg.jpg

customize a heterogenous loadline for a dual segment workload range.

example above shows loadline=L6 when current is in range of 0~40A, and Level4 when current is above 40A.

Adds for x3d

dynamic ccd priority switch with core flex, os / driver agnostic so win10 win11 ok

97403

97404

Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4

Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide

works on non x3d too but of course senseless on it. detailed explanation here.

@Shamino No, its under a custom loop, and was idling at about 36 ° C. A friend of me had the same happening to him with his 7900x3d. His was not overheating as well.  I switched back to 1101 and limited soc voltage to 1.3 manually, no problems at all. but not feeling safe 😞

Check your VSOC under windows, 1.3 fixed will probly be higher once LLC made its job.

Hwinfo says 1.3

Mine says 1.235 VDDCR_SOC and 1.288 CPU SOC for 1.25 in the bios, you're lucky 😁

hi dg1 may i know the board u are using? i was thinking of asking you to try one whereby the temperature reads need to be consecutively over 95c twice before taking action to prevent a false reading

Asus crosshair x670e hero, I am Dg1qkt. For some reason I haven’t another account on my mobile

We need a stable bios even for non x3d, 7950x on my hero with Expo Enhanced and pbo limit thermal 80º and everything else default auto sets in bios 1.349v for CPU VSoC , yet after monitoring it actually spikes above 1.35v. and bad things starts to happen have been like this on any bios after 0805, tested almost sall bios now gone.

Currently on 1202  i have to set either manually to 1.30v or if i set a negative offset of 0.05V it actually sets to around 1.19v , so something fishy here because why on auto it sets to 1.349 and s negative offset on only 0.05V actually lowers it so much? And i tested on load and observed it actually does not go higher plus performance is degraded a bit.

So for now only solution for me is set 1.30v on CPU VSoC and system is stable.

according to latest comm from AMD  we should gave a new AGESA to fix this as to limit to 1.30v VSoC, so please apply it to a stable BIOS ASAP.

for the hardware monitor readback levels, please comprehend the difference between die sense and socket sense , socket sense is higher than actual -> dont get carried away by youtubers looking for clicks

Select boards have die sense on select rails.

google and read

SHAMINO - can you tell us something about safe voltages range it those cases:

Here are my bios readings from 7950X3D and Strix x670e-e newest bios 1301:
1- CPU SOC - AUTO is 1,024V and EXPO is 1,244V (but in stress 1,305V in windows testers - weird bump)
2- CPU VDDIO/MC VOLTAGE - AUTO is 1,137V and EXPO is 1,439V (stress 1,447V in testers - looks high)
3- MISC VOLTAGE - almost still 1,137-1,146V (looks good)
4- VDDP - AUTO is 0,799V and EXPO is 1,148V (looks hmmm - not too high ?)

If we talk about SOC - in older bioses it was much higher - now it looks ok but still bad voltage boost idle/load - big differences in readings up to 1,305V.
VDDIO/MC VOLTAGE - I think it is too high and 1,4V + looks bad - I tried lower to 1,3V (memory errors), but for now manual 1,35V = 1,38V in bios reading = 1,4V in stressing, looks stable but still weird unknown voltage bump.

In bios my settings standard is - set EXPO or EXPO Tweaked, PBO 80*C, disable integrated GPU and thats it (sometimes powerdown / mem context restore).
