ill use this thread to collect some new test bioses for the boards, maybe also to explain some less understood options
to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
110000
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake
ocpak/octools
FAQ:
7950x not boosting pass 5.5G -> check that CStates is not disabled
Detailed Explanation on CState Boot Limiter
Test BIOSes:
new:
X3D OC Preset for those MB with asynch BCLK Support: (for simple slight perf boost for X3D)
DOCP/EXPO Tweaked: (for simple timings tightening)
strixe-e 1515
for crosshair and strix e-e:
explanation of segment2 Loadline:
customize a heterogenous loadline for a dual segment workload range.
example above shows loadline=L6 when current is in range of 0~40A, and Level4 when current is above 40A.
Adds for x3d
dynamic ccd priority switch with core flex, os / driver agnostic so win10 win11 ok
Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4
Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide
works on non x3d too but of course senseless on it. detailed explanation here.

Which motherboard? I'm on the Gene and since i disabled thunderbolt in bios now sometimes my GPU boots at gen3 and frequency locked 825mhz, its rare but very annoying because everytime i boot have to check to make sure it's running gen4.

He's got an extreme, im using the Gene too, have you tried forcing your GPU to gen4 mode in the bios ? ive never had this problem, ive got everything in there forced, nvme drives, chipset 1 and 2, GPU etc.

yeah in bios i have it gen4 but like i said never had this issue before but after disabling thunderbolt this now occurs sometimes

Hi, I've got a strix x670e-a but can't find async bclk mode or x3d oc presets either in bios 1004 and 1101. Please help me.

Why is Asus having so many problems with their AM5 motherboards? I'm having to RMA my x670e Extreme after already RMAing a x670e Hero. What is going on here?
I'm not alone in the issues.
12:30 mark... "It's funny because I bought the MSI brand one (motherboard) specifically because of that fact that um I was having sooo many issues with Asus boards lately. I'm like, it's just time to try another brand just to see what's happening."
He bought 2 MSI boards....
Why is this happening?

Yup Asus AM5 seems to be the worst when it comes to weird things going on with these Bios's

i bought an asus board, because i used asus boards in all my builds before and allways knew that i get a quality product and support.
i was expecting some early problems with am5 and x3d. bit i never thought, it could take this long to simply get some basic xmp to run as intended. especially with a board that costs 450.- and doesn't even provide some basic features like a debug-display, or a pump header with more than a 10V specs. not to forget the poor bios situation. more than a month after the x3d, i'm still waiting for a reliable bios where a basic feature like ram-oc works how it should feom the beginning.
no matter how long this takes, to finally fix these bios issues, this was my last asus buy.
maybe the other brands are not better, but with this gen of underequiped and overpriced mainboards asus finally has lost my thrust. maybe some other brand can deliver on their promise...

One simple setting I found on Asus boards is setting Secure boot options to standard. It's set on custom by default. Makes boot times much faster & system more stable. A simple setting.

Nice info. I didn't change much on bios except enabling MCR and Curve Optimizer to lower the temperature fix my boot speed (also i'm using bios 1004)

Finally, everything seems to be working fine from my end with the latest official Bios 1101 (Not the Beta) from april 11th. That is, I can overclock the memories and there is no more White Light LED, random, or D6 Q-Led.
However, I must point out the following:
- I can enter BIOS a little bit easily now. Just pressing continuously Del key inmediately after Q-Led starts to show 90s.
- Boot time is increased by about 20 seconds. From around 40 seconds to almost a minute.
- The Cinebench performance test, despite the fact that the memories now run at 6,000 MHz and not 4,800, is lower. It drops from 37,000 something to 36,800 something.
- The temperature of the PC is better, but it rises on average about 4 degrees.
- In Task Manager, if I sort by CPU usage, the System Interrupts task starts to show up more frequently towards the top 10 places.
The only changes that I am applying to the Bios are the following:
- PBO Advanced, Curve Optimizer All Cores -25
- Memory Overclock EXPO I
