ill use this thread to collect some new test bioses for the boards, maybe also to explain some less understood options

to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
110000
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake

ocpak/octools

Test BIOSes:

new:
X3D OC Preset for those MB with asynch BCLK Support: (for simple slight perf boost for X3D)

DOCP/EXPO Tweaked: (for simple timings tightening)

for crosshair and strix e-e:

explanation of segment2 Loadline:

dualseg.jpg

customize a heterogenous loadline for a dual segment workload range.

example above shows loadline=L6 when current is in range of 0~40A, and Level4 when current is above 40A.

Adds for x3d

dynamic ccd priority switch with core flex, os / driver agnostic so win10 win11 ok

97403

97404

Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4

Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide

works on non x3d too but of course senseless on it. detailed explanation here.

I will try this now then and report back later.

do also note that it is not conclusive to surmise the failing core as weak since a good core will be prioritized in usage and will boost higher so it will also be challenging for it to boost even higher.

Just testing all core curve optimizer now with the changes you suggested. -30,-25 and -20 were all no go (reset before Windows login screen), -15 is currently running Aida64 stress test and looks promising (still on 0804 bios)

I had the same issue on my x670e-i. No idea if it is a core on the CPU that can't handle the CO value or just a BIOS/UEFI issue. It may not be an ASUS issue at all, just Zen 4 not having as much headroom with Zen 4. The only way to truly test would be to compare the same chip on different boards.

Yeah I agree, I think that's a reasonable conclusion to make. I've not seen other people's experiences on other boards (I know a lot of reviewers were using Gigabyte boards though), but I'm pretty sure it's an Amd (possibly windows 11 issue). But hey, all I was really wanting was correct boosting of cores, which seems to be working now.

Seem to be stable with -10 optimizer curve with your advice. -15 Passed Aida64 but then just randomly reset during desktop idling. I'm happy with sticking with -10 for now as I don't have the wherewithall to go core by core lol. Thanks for the help.

no problem
but please bear in mind its deeper than just a value, its the overall performance that needs to be evaluated. It is possible for a CPU with no CO margin at all to be actually faster than one with -20 CO margin, you will need to benchmark them.

Is there any possible way we can get beta updates for the x670e-i? I've noticed some bugs, and among other things, SMU appears to be out of date.

X670E EXTREME
0805 BIOS is good. PBO/PBO2 is stable!,i can see 5950MHZ!,good job!
BUT it still has some problems.First fclk
when i use fclk2133mhz,it's normal,when i use fclk 2166mhz,it's unstable,system will restart or can not start system,but on 0705bios ,i can use 2166MHZ.

Another problem is when i use 0803 bios ,i set fclk at 2166mhz,mem at 6400mhz ,uclk will be 3250mhz,it 's unusual.
And,if i want fclk at 2166mhz/2200mhz to be stable,i need to misc voltage to 1.45V,SOC volatge to be 1.45V.(sometimes it's also unstable)

Might be good to know which memory kit you are using? and how much memory are you running with? thanks

Gskill 6000mhz c30 EXPO kits.
now i am running 6400 C30--38-38-20 ,trefi 65535 aida64 read and write at 90000MB/S,latency 57ns.
the setting is on 0803bios ,if you use 0805 bios ,voltage will be low ,MC,VDDQ and VDD at 1.48v,soc auto
