ill use this thread to collect some new test bioses for the boards, maybe also to explain some less understood options

to disable cores ccd go here and choose ccd xx bit map down core.
each ones stand for an enabled core
best to disable from the back, ie:
110000
instead of 0011000
after selection press downcore apply changes or discard if made mistake

Test BIOSes:

new:

DOCP/EXPO Tweaked: (for simple timings tightening)

for crosshair and strix e-e:

explanation of segment2 Loadline:

dualseg.jpg

customize a heterogenous loadline for a dual segment workload range.

example above shows loadline=L6 when current is in range of 0~40A, and Level4 when current is above 40A.

Adds for x3d

dynamic ccd priority switch with core flex, os / driver agnostic so win10 win11 ok

97403

97404

Algo as follows:
If condition reached and ccd0 specified, then check current mem/cache activity > threshold and hysteresis reached, if fulfilled then switch
If condition reached and ccd1 specified, then check current mem/cache activity <=threshold and hysteresis reached,, if fulfilled then switch
Default hysteresis =4

Can combine multiple algos for ccd priority so combinations are wide

works on non x3d too but of course senseless on it. detailed explanation here.

That means a very old bios
cmo file is still compatible with recent bios

Don't really get the answer. In "release notes" you state that people are NOT supposed to reload the CMO. There is no information which CMOs would be compatible. Also it is in-line with my experience that loading a CMO from the previous version (not a veeery old one) usually is working just fine. However still I believe it's a flaw that the settings are lost by default. So an upgrade should keep configuration. It still can be reset to default in case of an obscure problem where the old configuration for some reason does not work with the new version.

Using the handling lined out (using default for new values, using defaults for values which changed meaning or if values are in conflict) upgrades without manual re-configuration after an upgrade should be possible.

bro my newest bios version is 2611 ? asus prime b650m-k

Different board. Alas different versions available

2611 is my latest version ? if not can u send me newer one

Just installed 2004. I don't know why AMD or ASUS hate users with 4 nvme drives.

ROG CROSSHAIR X670E HERO BETA BIOS 2004
4 x nvme - Samsung 970 Pro 1TB, WD Black SN850X 2TB, WD Black SN850X850 4TB and  WD Black SN850X 4 TB.

2 x SATA drive

with that setup on bios 2003 and 2004 M2_2 not available, and no option to enable it. I went back to 1905.

I have the same problem.

How did you go back to 1905? I always get the message no valid bios file via EZ Flash by 1904 or 1905

By default downgrades are disabled in BIOS, you might have to allow it - or just use BIOS flashback using the BIOS renaming tool, plug your pen drive into the flashback USB port and press the flashback button. Then just wait for it to complete. More instructions in your manual.

Hi,
I had the same issue with EZ Flash, so I have used the BIOS flashback option, I have renamed the bios file, and plug the pendrive into the flashback USB port and pressed the flashback button. Then just wait for it to complete. It may take few minutes.
