What is better..setting lower temp or negative voltage adjustment

Have a Hero 670e and want to limit the voltage, I see many say that setting a negative ( between 15 -30 )setting through precision boost will do the job. Or is it better in Precision Boost to set the temp to a max of either 90  or 80 degrees?
