Turnin "USB power delivery in Soft Off state (S5)" off from bios results in some usb ports not working in Windows 11. There is an error "The USB hub failed to reset"

Same here had the same problem with the previous bios 1516 and now 1602, stops my Soundblaster G6 and Chakram mouse from working. Using bios 1415 sorts the usb problems out for me 1516 & 1602 give me the "The USB hub failed to reset" error code 43. But for some strange reason my Azoth keyboard is picked up fine everytime when using bios 1516 & 1602.

I also had the sam problem with previous bios 1516. Hopefully the devs see this and the next bios will be working one when turnin "USB power delivery in Soft Off state (S5)" off.

I have the same issue. When soft state is off, I get a USB error on a cold boot such that my Aquacomputer Octo fan controller doesn't work. If I then Restart it then works okay.

BIOS 1602

After updating the BIOS to 1602 I faced a weird issue, which is every time I turned on the PC my AIO (ROG RYUJIN II 360) screen worked normally but as soon as I logged in to Windows the screen would turn off, I opened the Armoury Crate and I found out that my AIO was not showing there as if it's not connected, however the fan and the pump are working normally, also I found out that my ROG keyboard is not showing too, so everything connected to the USB port by wire isn't recognized but if I switch the ROG keyboard to the wireless mode it will work, same thing with the mouse.

If I restart the PC everything will work normally, so every time I shut down the PC I have to face this issue unless I do the restart.

I found a way around this issue, if I shut down the PC and switch off the power supply button everything will work fine when I turn on the PC the next time.

Any idea how to solve this issue??

Update: The USB issue is solved with the new BIOS 1807  for ROG STRIX X670E-E GAMING WIFI, I turned the "USB power delivery in Soft Off state (S5)" off, and everything works fine.

To those experiencing this issue, can you list what devices are connected to the system and which devices in particular you're having difficulty with?

Perhaps make sure these steps are followed and report back: https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1042220/

It is about 1/4 of my USB ports and not about what devices are connected to those ports. It is always the same usb ports that are not working.  I have had this issue only with bios 1516 & 1602.

Now I just turned "USB power delivery in Soft Off state (S5)" on until working bios is released again.

I have tried those instructions (link) and no help.

Thanks for confirming. Are you able to illustrate which ports?
