I have a TUF GAMING B650M-PLUS WIFI motherboard with the following configuration:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- GPU: Palit RTX 5070 Infinity 3
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 64GB (2x32GB) 6400MHz
- SSD: Samsung 980 PRO 2TB (currently installed in M.2_2 slot)
- PSU: Corsair RM750e 750W
- Cooler: Corsair iCUE H100i RGB Elite
Yesterday, I moved the SSD from M.2_1 to M.2_2 because I noticed poor read/write speeds. I checked its health using Samsung Magician, and it was okay.
Then, I enabled DOCP I in the BIOS, because the RAM was running at 4800 MT/s instead of 6400 MT/s. I used the system for about one hour without any issue.
After a Windows update required a reboot, the PC stopped booting. Now it powers on for about 1 second, I see a brief yellow LED on the motherboard, and then it shuts off.
I've already tried:
- Clearing CMOS
- Reseating RAM and GPU
- Checking power cables
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi @Kevin0463
Can you take a video of the behaviour? Please note, after clearing the CMOS, the system will need to perform memory training (yellow Q-LED indicator). This process can take up 10-15 minutes, depending on the memory configuration.

all those steps in reverse until you find the culprit would be top of my list to diagnose the issue
for example disable docp, put drive back into original slot
on a side note. have you always run the cpu at 6400,? the ideal speed for the latency ratio of 1 to 1 is 6000

I noticed that the 2x RAM modules I had were not compatible, so I replaced them with Corsair D5 64GB 6000-40 Dominator Platinum Black K2 COR XMP
(2 x 32GB, 6000 MHz, DDR5, DIMM), which are listed as compatible. However, the PC still powers on for one second, then shuts off, and the yellow DRAM LED lights up.
I also tried removing everything from the motherboard except the CPU, SSD, and one RAM stick in slot A2, but the issue persists.
I recorded a video of the issue, but I’m not sure how to upload it.

Everything is installed correctly, and the RAM is listed as compatible.
However, the RGB lights on the RAM are not working at all.
