Hello
I have already discussed this with ASUS support and they suggested a replacement but I am unsure if it will solve my problem.
About the problem:
When my PC goes into energy saving mode, everything is still normal. But when I wake it up, it sometimes gets stuck with the red Q-LED.
I only have the problem with energy saving. sleep, restart, shutdown and normal start work without any problems. Where it also doesn't work is when using the EZ Flash via the bios when it does a reset before flashing.
Hardware:
AMD 7900X3D
ASUS ROG Strix x670E-F Gaming
g. Skill F5-6000J3040G32GX2-TZ5NR (are in the list of the board)
Corsair Hi1500 power supply
iChill 4080
What have I tried?
- Memtest (4 passes without problems)
- only 1 of 2 sticks in the slots
- tried with and without EXPO
- switched back to Gigabyte B650 (works fine)
In my opinion the problem does not seem to be hardware related but rather software/BIOS, it seems as if it does not perform the POST correctly when switching on to save energy.
Maybe someone here has experienced the same problem or a similar configuration and can test it. I had such problems in the past with my first AM4 board from ASUS and therefore switched to Gigabyte.
greetings,
