Hello everyone.
After updating BIOS to 1904 my motherboard lost the Thunderbolt 1137 controller. In BIOS settings thunderbolt / USB4 turns on. But in Windows, the controller is disconnected (and hidden). In Linux, lspci doesn't show it too.
2 type-c ports work like USB 2.0. No Thunderbolt, no usb3/usb4, no Display Port Alt Mode.
I try all 15 available versions of BIOS over flashback with the reset CMOS. But it's not working.

Hello
I to have been running issues with my Thunderbolt as well on my Crosshair Hero x670e. I built up my system not to long ago and notice Intel Extensible Host Controller was playing up. (Saying Device not working)
~Running on the Lattest Bios: 2204, 7800x3D, 64GB DDR5-6000 F5-6000J3040G32G (G.Skill Memory)
I've tried turning off Power Mangement on Thunderbolt as well the Intel USB 3.10 Extensible Host Controller, but it still does the same thing apparently.
Crosshair x670e Hero uses JHL8540 Controller but i hope there is a fix for it soon. I've been trying out other methods like installing the lattest drivers from the fourms but been unsucessful.

I checked JHL8540 firmware version. 2204 Bios have 38 version controller firmware. I disassembled the efi updater application. It works over EFI FIRMWARE MANAGEMENT PROTOCOL, but my motherboard doesn't have the required GUID protocol. Device not found by bios. It's maybe controller flash corruption or static electrical damage. Research is continuing.

Ah okay, All good
If your having trouble finding Thunderbolt, you can search for it in the Bios. Its actually placed in one of the AMD Section in the bios for Thunderbolt.
At the moment I had to disable it for the time being, otherwise it will show up in device manager saying the device isnt working.
