My build has been running without any problems for past month but now after i boot up into windows it will randomly black screen and my mb will display "Memory Code 00" then "Memory test" and just hang. this even happens when its idle.I've tried doing a fresh install, running benchmarks such as OCCT, 3D Mark and memory test 86 several times each and everything seems to pass properly and has never tripped to the error the system clears when posting and it cycles through the codes without an issue in it puts me into windows which leads me to believe it's something more then I think let me know what you guys think and if people are going through problems like this let me know and what you did to solve it if you did
7950x Asus X670E Extreme 32 gb dominator plat 6000 cl36 1tb 980 pro RTX 4080 founders edition HX1500i
Solved: it was the motherboard the entire time. Thanks to everyone who helped

By black screen, I assume you mean the PC immediately powers off, with no warning/bsod.
How were you able to do a fresh install, if you couldn't POST the motherboard ?
Anyway, I had exactly the same problems with a Asus Z2E, TR3970 and Corsair AX1200i.
1. Memory Code 00 followed by immediate power off, likely PSU - Contact Corsair
2. Memory Code 00 followed by Memory Test, likely CPU not tight enough and/or Cooler over tightened.
3. Random Power offs, followed by #1 above, definitely PSU - Contact Corsair
4. Memory Code 15 (or C5, etc...), likely CPU not seated correctly.

Hello,
Sounds like an intermittent fault.
I would consider removing the CPU and DRAM and reseating them. Do the same for the ATX12V and CPU EPS-12V connectors and GPU, report back if issue persists 🙂

So the weird thing is the motherboard posts like normal It does the run through checks and it clears it and I get into windows but this happens at random whether I’m playing a game or relaxing on discord this issue happens it could be anywhere from 30 minutes on the computer to two hours of usage and typically happens once or twice a week. I put pictures above so you have an idea of what’s going on.

Did you do any of the suggestions above?

yes redid the power connections but not reseating cpu trying to slowly weed out the problem?

Given the nature of the issue, I would 100% remount the CPU if I were in your shoes.

There is another issue that I forgot to mention actually when I built the machine I transplanted my sn850 from my previous revision of the build and I connected it to the slot on the motherboard that was connected via chipset (the one that's connected to the CPU) and it doesn't read so I'm 100% confident it's a CPU I will try to reseat it at some point when I have extra time but I know it worked in my 12900k system and I only transplanted it a few days after I got my parts

been so busy at work not much time to troubleshoot
