Hello,

I'm trying to help someone out who's been having issues with airflow and ended up buying a new case for it, problem is now the rear hasn't enough PCIe slots to access the 3rd slot and the GPU takes up the second slot due to its physical size.

My question is, is there a detrimental effect putting the GPU in the second slot enabling to add a card into the first one?

This configuration will work, the only drawback is the gpu will run at x8.

It's not a severe drawback as there is maybe a 2% performance loss.
