Please provide a firmware update for the ALC4080.

I am using a strix b650E-E motherboard.

When using SPDIF, audio is lost.

Rebooting fixes this, but it's inconvenient. MSI and others provide new firmware, but ASUS does not.

It seems this is a widely reported problem and not just mine.

ASUS, please update your firmware.

did you try the firmware that is on the boards support page?  Also the Z790 Strix has two firmware for ALC4080.

The firmware appears to be identical to the one on the motherboard.B650E

As far as I know, there is no newer audio chipset update for the ALC4080 than the one on the website. The only thing your motherboard didn't get for some reason is the motherboard chipset (EC) update to firmware 0262 (most other Asus AM5 MBs have FW 0263), but I doubt that this is causing the problem.

Thank you. I will patiently wait for the firmware update. Only the S/PDIF is causing problems.

Did other b650 motherboards get the firmware update? I was also waiting  for that firmware update for my b650e-e.
