hi , ive been experiencing startup lag on my pc , like it starts up , i sign in with win hello and it lags for 20 secs straight, ive tried reinstalling windows 5 times , contacted ms support and did some digging myself.
i found out if i disable asus com service and the programs associated with it the lag disappears but i can use the livedash oled or anything cuz the com service is off. Now thats not a problem for most but i have an all asus build so i need armoury crate to control rgb and my cooler's display.
to describe the lag , i cant move my mouse cursor, when i can it moves slowly and the task bar is a no go nothing comes up , all animations grind to halt but after 20 secs everything is back.
I know its just 20 secs but with a high end system i dont expect such lag , maybe i have to change some bios settings ? or maybe something is wrong , could someone help me figure this out.
ill give u my full system specs below in detail
system specs
CPU: Ryzen 9 7950X3D

peripherals : logi brio (win hello) logi g502X+ ls , logi gpro tkl keyboard, ; logi g733 headset , i do used wired sometimes with my kraken v2 but that shouldnt make a diff
ADDITIONAL NOTES :
i have a rog fan hub with 3 coolermaster mf120 halo fans, the fan hum which came withj the mobo. the fan hub is connected to a nzxt usb hub alongside the rog true voltician.
i boot off the gen z.2 slot connected to the cpu lanes using the 2tb 990 pro, ive tried the onboard slot as well but it doesnt seem to make a diff
i dont think my motherboard is faulty as ive run some tests on it, but a major indicator is the lag stops when i disable asus com service , ive battered the memory with like 5 rounds of memtest86 no faults found, so im really clueless on what to do now, i wanna find a sol here before calling asus support again cuz they keep giving me generic steps to follow which really doesnt help me
if you need any info or anything else pls lemme know , i really want this lag thing gone and wanna enjoy my new pc

turn off the power saving option under thunderbolt controller in device manager
SOLUTION:
I found out that some Asus users have problems with the Thunderbolt(TM) Controller - 1137 when the energy saving option is activated.
turning off the power saving option:
The option can be found in Device Manager > System Devices > Thunderbolt(TM) Controller - 1137 > Right-click > Properties > Power Management
After I turned it off and then restarted Windows 11, I no longer had these problems and there were no more laggs....
