IGPU question

I have a Asus X670e Hero motherboard and a AMD 7950X3D… with a TUF 4090 .

Now is the IGPU and use if using the 4090… can it be used for anything at is it best to disable it in bios… or install drivers for it and just leave it be ? 

San having the IGPU drivers install cause any conflicts ?

Any help most appreciated…

So if playing games on my 4090 , how do you use the igpu to record ...or how can you specify which gpu to use for encoding or video recording ?

i have found how to use IGPU in obs but i use nvidia 4090 to encode to AV1 when recording.....does the AMD IGPU do AV1 ?

if so is it still better to use the amd igpu.

It can't. As I understand it; only  RTX 4050 and upwards can do AV1 HW-encoding.

I have just tried amd hw h.265 encoding when using OBS… tried a 40 second recording and then did a 40 second regarding with nvidia av1… well av1 wins hands down… recording on h265 was blocky every few seconds… av1 was way better at same 2500 bit rate… plus av1 was smaller file 📎 size… think will stick with av1 lol
