I have a Asus X670e Hero motherboard and a AMD 7950X3D… with a TUF 4090 .
Now is the IGPU and use if using the 4090… can it be used for anything at is it best to disable it in bios… or install drivers for it and just leave it be ?
San having the IGPU drivers install cause any conflicts ?
Any help most appreciated…

Hello,
Beyond driving different screens there's no real benefit, but there is usually no harm in leaving it enabled.

Ok 👌 thanks you… prob just re enable it in bios and install drivers just incase lol 😆.
Just thought 💭 I read something in past that the igpu could help with video encoding or something like that ..but I may be wrong lol
Cheers 🍻

No worries. Are you doing video encoding?

Only if you do a lot of video-encoding, game capture, or broadcasting.

I never used OBS before, so I did a test: https://youtu.be/L9Teu0GRfD4
Only difference I'd notice when recording h264 was a little more compression artifacts (blocks) when recording with the NVENC than the AMD. Recording HEVC was lagging on AMD but not so much on NVENC. Benchmark results was 500 points higher when recording on the iGPU.
(Didn't have support for AV1)
