how do i know when a core is reaching its max freq?

I watched skatterbencher's vid here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90UBUq1mLGY&t=1488s

and one of his OC strategies is to enable async clocks, and raise BCLK2. At some point he notices some cores failing so he either raises the CO or decreases it. It seems somewhat random as to what he decides to do.How can I know when a core has reached fmax? All I get is a blue screen.
