Hi. I just had a new rig built. My motherboard is the ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-E GAMING WIFI, with an AMD 7800X3D CPU.
After a couple hours of just general use, playin game, watching things, etc. It will crash. All the USB devices will suddenly become disconnected and then 2 seconds later it hard locks up and restarts.
I have updated my AMD Chipset driver to the latest, i have the most recent BIOS version available. I *think* i've told windows to not shut off USB devices to save power, etc. I am at a loss. I can't think of anything else that would have to be done.
Temps and voltages seem fine, it works perfect up until that sudden crash. What else can i do?

Hello @Stu722
Thank you for reaching out to us.
May I ask if this issue occurs sporadically or if it is happening more frequently?
If it is recurring, could you please share the frequency and the specific usage scenarios when it occurs?
Based on your description, this situation could potentially be due to improper hardware installation, overheating within the system, or incorrect driver versions.
We recommend referring to the ROG STRIX X670E-E GAMING WIFI user manual to ensure that all hardware is correctly installed, including checking for any bent CPU pins, confirming that power cables are securely connected, and making sure that the installed drivers are from the motherboard’s support page. Additionally, please refer to [Windows 11/10] Troubleshooting - Automatic Shutdown/Restart Issues and also monitoring the fan and system temperatures regularly.
Thank you.

After a couple days of tweaking and trying to figure things out, here's what's happened.
1.It is recurring, however it has reduced to simply USB devices disconnecting and reconnecting and the system no longer crashes. The disconnect lasts 1 second, it's as if someone just took out all the USB devices at once and plugged them right back in.
2. It happens much less frequently now. Before it was every 2-4 hours, now it's maybe once a day, if even that. The biggest change here i made was turning off the EXPO 1 memory setting within the Bios back to Auto.
3. It can happen during average gaming, or literally just sitting here watching a video on youtube.
4. Temperatures and voltages seem to be stable at all times and nothing is overheating. As well, all drivers have been updated and checked.
5. Other that the previously mentioned EXPO 1 setting, i've not overclocked or tweaked GPU.
