I currently have 2 gen4 m.2 drives installed and I wanted to install another two, but from what I understand slots 3 and 4 use the chipset and share pcie lane bandwidth? Is there going to be a noticeable performance loss increasing the number of drives installed? If I were to remain with only two drives installed, is using slots 1 and 3 better than 1 and 2 to, so it splits the work between the cpu and chipset?
