Broadcom RAID Card + H610i issues

Hi there,

new user in hopes of finding a solution to a precarious situation. I also ask for a bit of patience - my knowledge about computing is probably below average on this forum, though I have made efforts to research. I wanted to build a home server and I followed a guide online that had very similar hardware choices (mine are down below). The issue is that my MoBo doesn't recognize the RAID controller at all. The card runs off Legacy mode, which in the MoBo BIOS is known as CSM. Turning on CSM however disables the iGPU (this is default from 11th gen CPUs onward), meaning I won't be able to get video out from the MoBo's HDMI port. And because the MoBo only has one PCIe slot, I can't plug in the RAID card and a dGPU at the same time to get display out.

The thing is, I tried plugging the RAID card into my gaming PC, which has a Z370-H and a i7-9700k in it, just to see whether the RAID card's WebBIOS will be displayed. It turns out, I couldn't even get to the UEFI BIOS on the gaming PC while the RAID Card is plugged in (but it does post to Windows).

So far, I've been unable to identify the RAID card in the BIOS, Windows or install new firmware or drivers for it, not that I could know it it's up to date anyway.

This may be a bit barebones for information, but I can follow up on concrete questions and I hope we can solve this. Thank you and cheers!
