BIOS freezes when loading profile

B650e-e. When I try to load a saved profile from USB stick, BIOS freezes immediately when I say yes to load.  I have the USB stick formatted to fat32 and I haven’t updated the BIOS to something different. Anyone have any suggestions?

OP here. Just wanted to add I've tried enabling CSM in BIOS and that didnt work. someone from back in 2016 had the same problem lol

I had to flash my BIOS from within the BIOS, then flash a second time with USB Flashback to fix just that with my X670E Extreme.

lol what in the world? Did you flash the same BIOS in the BIOS or newer version? You mind giving me a bit of a step by step?

I loaded the BIOS on USB, but not renamed for USB Flashback and renamed for USB Flashback, booted into BIOS, flashed the not renamed BIOS from within the BIOS, let the PC restart, shut down, then flashed a second time with USB Flashback and I could load from USB again.

hey thanks, what I ended up doing was just updating to the latest BIOS, then it magically worked lol.

Be careful when you load a saved BIOS. There are many settings you saved that will still be at default and won't load. You need to look at all your settings and see which ones never loaded.
