BIOS Downgrade - EXPO - QVL Memory Support

I have an ROG Crosshair X670E Hero motherboard and an AMD 7950X processor. The installed memory consists of 2x16GB DDR5 (KF560C36BBEAK2-32), which is on Asus's QVL list. Since I updated the BIOS beyond version 0805, the EXPO mode has stopped working. I've tried several tests with different RAM modules, and ultimately, the issue is resolved by disabling this mode. I also contacted ASUS support, and they confirmed the BIOS-related problem, promising a future resolution (as of May 2023). As of today, the issue still persists even with the latest BIOS 1602, and I'm tired of trying without success. For those wondering, with EXPO mode enabled, the PC starts successfully only 1 out of 4-5 times at boot, with an error message about memory configuration after the initial training. Disabling EXPO mode allows the PC to start without any issues every time. My question is this: is it possible to downgrade from version 1602 to 0805 without risking any damage? What am I actually losing? Unfortunately, ASUS doesn't seem to be able to resolve the issue, and I'm unsure how to proceed.

I have memory issues on 1602, but 1415 is stable. I’ve done downgrade from 1602 to 1415. Everything is fine and stable now.

You may also want to refer to the link below if you are using Memory Context Restore before you downgrade, but no it should be a problem if you do.
